Product fit nice and tight. Just had to clean it with a rag and brake cleaner before placing it on the wheel hub. Brakes work great and quietly too, even though the pads are on the cheap side.

I just recently installed these rotors onto my wife’s 2006 Honda Accord. I was experiencing heavy rumbling when braking, especially at higher speeds, and I knew that it was time to replace the rotors. My wife and I put on roughly 110k miles on our original OEM rotors so it was no surprise that rotors were the issue. I’m not a mechanic, but I am an avid DIY’er. I did my research on the rotor/brake pad replacement process and figured that I would be able to handle it and I’m glad I did. My local mechanic was going to charge me roughly $450 to replace the front brake pads and rotors. Doing it myself, I spent less than $200. WARNING: If you are not comfortable doing basic maintenance on cars or don’t have an understanding of the basic mechanics of a car, please do your research! Your brakes are one of the most important systems on your car…for obvious reasons. You could be endangering yourself, your passengers, and everyone around you if you don’t know what you’re doing so please keep that in mind.
Each rotor comes very well packaged (you will need to order 2). There is a protective layer on the rotors themselves to prevent corrosion which needs to be removed prior to installation. This is easily done with brake cleaner and paper towels. It took me about 2 hours to install both driver side and passenger side along with new brake pads. It’s recommended that you replace your brake pads when installing new rotors. Also, make sure to lube the contact points and caliper pins with silicone grease.
The Centric Parts rotors fit like the OEM rotors from Honda and look great! I then put the wheels back on, lowered the car, torqued the lug nuts and I was ready to bed in the new rotors and pads. After a proper bed in procedure, braking was strong, smooth, and quiet. Most importantly, the shaking and rumbling when braking was completely gone!
I definitely would buy these rotors again. They seem to be great combination of superb quality at an affordable value.

Some people have complained that these came with flaws, sometimes holes in the braking surface, sometimes marked with pencil at the factory, but then shipped out to a customer anyway. INSPECT THE BRAKING SURFACE OF BOTH FACES ON EACH ROTOR CAREFULLY FOR FLAWS AND SEND THEM BACK IF YOU SEE ANY DEEP PITS OR HOLES. You should not use them if they are like this. Waiting for your replacements is worth it. These work very well. Highly recommended! Mine arrived in perfect condition. I like the E-coating to cut down on rust. Keep in mind that the rust on the vented outer edge does not matter. What matters is the inside of the “hat” that mates to the wheel hub face. The factory rotors and hubs are both bare steel on these mating faces, so the rotor rusts to the hub and requires you to use a BFH if you do not happen to have two of the bolts Honda recommends to pop them off using the threaded holes on the outer face of the hat. (Despite the E-coating I still used anti-sieze on the outer face of the hub assembly – not gobs, just a thin coat around the inner lip and between the lugs – to help me get them off in the future.)
Paired with the Akebono ACT914 pads I now have excellent brakes. I bought the car with 30,000 miles on it and have rolled up another 95,000 of my own miles. The brakes were mediocre from the day we bought it and they deteriorated to the point of feeling dangerous due to our neglect. Now we know how to do this type of work and are going over all our vehicles to fix the stuff we allowed to fail or become crappy.
PLEASE NOTE: The 8th Generation Accords (2008-2012) and perhaps the other generations as well, use two different rotor thicknesses based on trim level. I have a 2010 LX which uses the thinner rotors. You must determine which rotors your car uses or you may end up tearing down your car only to find that you have a rotor that will not fit in the caliper or that your caliper is too loose. THIS IS THE THINNER ONE! The thicker one (by nearly a quarter inch!) is the Centric Premium 120.40046, I think. I know this is for the heavier 6 cylinder car, but it may also be for the upper trim levels, in general.
ALSO NOTE: If you are getting these for an Acura I have read many reports that they warp. There is something about the hub face on these cars that will allow this if these are not installed correctly and the lug nuts not torqued to their exact value. If you over-torque these rotors on an Acura they have issues, and it is not all that uncommon. If you have an Acura please investigate how to install these correctly with the proper torque values or you will be sorry. I think it is fair to say that any compatible rotor for these cars will have this issue if you over-torque your lug nuts.

I installed these rotors with Akebono pads on Honda Civic 2014 EX. I had no issues with the install and after driving for 1k. I noticed quite a bit of rust forming on the rotors after a rain storm but in the area where the pads touch mostly.

This does not fit a 2012 Honda Civic Lx, they are to big despite the description and the Amazon recommendation. Possible error on description of a failure on amazons end. Check the actual sizing of your rotor, they appear to be great quality!!
