The cable looks like original but doesn’t fit like original the mounting spot in the middle of the cable is placed in the wrong direction to install you have to flip the cable upside down and bend the middle tab a little to bolt it on then twist the cable and make the other connections

Old cable was corroded af and my car (2000 Nissan Xterra SE) wouldn’t start. Battery was new, alternator was new, must be the cable? Installed this one, car now starts, perfection! Half the price as at a local parts store for the exact same item, same box box and all. Arrived 2 days early in a suffocating snow storm. Cable is so robust it was difficult to get it to bend the right way to go where it needed to be, both a good and bad thing, but good > bad so 👍👍. Was gonna add a heat shield and brace to make it last longer but it was so cheap and easy to install that I’m not even gonna bother, might even order another one and just keep a spare in the car just in case I ignore the one I just put in for too long, that’s how easy it was. (Just don’t ‘splode your battery, definitely remove that first. – to + out, + to – in. 👍)

Easy to install but it doesn’t come with the 2 clips that hold the bends in place. The old clips from the last one cannot be used so where do you get some new clips from? It should come with those 2 clips.

Needed to add an additional Ground Cable to my car (between the battery Negative terminal and the Engine block/Transmission housing , due to some starting issues.
Replacing the existing cable and/or terminals it may be a complicated affair, even if you have the proper tools and experience.
I purchased 2 (two) of these pre-made cables and used the for the same purpose on two different cars. Even they were a little bit too long and relatively stiff, you can always find a way to make a loop or a bend.
Worked great for me and still tight in the same place after more than 2 years.

I used this to replace the OEM negative cable on my 2003 Nissan Xterra. The cable is much thicker then the original and it’s true that the center metal connector is reversed. It doesn’t come with a heat shield where it attaches to engine block like the OEM cable. Use your old heat shield if you can, mine was so worn I had to toss it. I just rerouted the cable so it’s wasn’t directly above the exhaust manifold and it worked just fine. The cable will never know it’s been reversed and neither will anyone else! Overall a better quality replacement than OEM.

A few reviews talking about compatibility of a ground cable? Keep in mind: a ground cable is an extension of the bare metal you’re connecting it to (which is floating in a vehicle). This cable is the correct length and gauge for the 2003 Altima (battery height: 24F). Quality is Excellent.
Another post mentioned: start the routing from the bottom (at the transmission) and work your way up to the battery post, which was excellent advise. The connection in the middle is just secondary grounding and should not be relied on for proper charging of the battery. My cable broke at the transmission and I went through alternators and batteries like milk in an ice cream shop…. (Bare and clean metal is the key) ***check for dirty throttle body and bad ignition coils***
Tools: 10 mm or 13 mm socket (battery post); 14 mm (transmission post); 12 mm (to remove battery tray); flat tip screwdriver to relieve fuse holder on tray – not necessarily in that order. Hope this helps…
