The motor was giving me multiple problems, replaced the coil finally and it seemed to fix it. My only complaint is the motor must be jacked up on one side to remove the cover, which included removing the fuel tank too. The eariler series before this G16 was a simple job of unbolting the coil and bolting on the new part. In this process I also replaced the fuel lines, fuel pump, carburetor, and cleaned the 20 years of dirt & mud from around this area. I don’t golf, but this is a good machine for quick runs to the store (2 miles away) and just riding around town, now without worry that this Yamaha will not stall in traffic.

My cart quit running. After hours of testing and making new battery cables I felt it had weak spark. OE Yamaha USA part was on intergalactic backorder according to my guy at Yamaha. This one has the best reviews on the zon so I gave it a shot. Cart hasn’t run this good in a while!

Bought in 2021 and installed in 2022. Ran well for 2 summers; this year, 2024, started misfiring when hot and totally quit after 30 minutes of continuous use.
Original coil ran for 22 seasons.
This one should have lasted more than two seasons!
Need a new one and will look elsewhere.

Not terribly difficult to install. Engine mounts did need to be loosened to lift the engine high enough to get to a few screws that hold the flywheel cover/ shroud on. Toughest part was getting the gap close because my feeler gauges weren’t very flexible. Got it done and it runs. So, success.
