Rottieboy –
I bought this switch for a ’49 Willys. I have the old style foot starter so really only needed the switch to be either on or off. This works just fine this way or will work as a conventional key activated starter switch like a modern car. This is the same Omix-ada switch that is sold in the Willys parts stores that we all use.

This switch is EXACTLY the same as the original in my 1964 Willys. Keeping my Tux Park as original as possible is important.

This is a part my husband needed for his Jeep. Works great and Amazon has the. best prices.
diyfixit –
good upgrade for cj2a using a separate solenoid for the starter

My CJ didn’t have any keys when I bought it, so I purchased this and it connected with no issues and works perfectly. For those installing it, make sure you put the hex nut on first because that goes behind the dash and the trim cap screws onto the front. This allows you to adjust how much of the switch sticks out the front.
Bananapies –
It has a smooth action, but mine died after maybe 100 switch actuations? I ended up buying a Doorman one. It seems higher build quality in terms of metal but the switch isn’t as smooth.

unfortunately I cannot give this a good review, it didn’t work, it might have been returned at some point or just a faulty one,my mechanic said it looked like a returned one I had to buy one locally. which did work. I did not contact the seller thinking they would not take back something electrical, which is usually the rule. I probably should have contacted the seller to see what they would do.
