Fixed my p0300 code for my 2006 Sentra Spec V. I changed all coil packs at once since they were 15 years old at the point with over 110k miles. These are great quality, made in japan, and much cheaper than autozone or dealer units.

I am not sure if I should give it 3 stars or 4… Or for that matter 5? Given everything I settled on in the middle but…
There are different aspects to this. I needed 4 new ignition coils. The car they were going into was old. And given the normal expectations way over due and it was starting to miss/jump… a lot.
So this part is about Amazon (and perhaps the vendor as well):
I came here to Amazon and I bought these. When I put them in my cart it said 2 day shipping. That would be on the weekend, so plenty of time to put them in and back to work on Monday without issue. I purchased them and moved on. However when I went back to check after they should have arrive it said suddenly arriving Tuesday?!!? Seriously? But hey feel free to cancel… By then going for an alternative would also come Tuesday. So I just decided to wait it out. Sometime between Monday and Tuesday it became Wednesday. Great… just great.
I bought these because Hitachi was supposed to have been what was in the car. If I had been properly warned of this I would have gone for the also highly rated Delphi ones here on Amazon that also said 2-day shipping.
Now when I looked at the tracking information it said it was being shipped from the vendor not from Amazon. My guess is that this is why it took so much extra time. Which is weird really. Prime but not 2 days or less… So whose fault is that?
Now about the parts:
They fit great. They seemed to be exactly the same as what was removed from the car.
Change your spark plugs at the same time. If the coils are misfiring the spark plugs are at the very least suspect. For $7-10 a piece replace them too. Oh and get a spark plug socket with the Magnet. One with a rubber retainer was used first and it was a total failure and cost an extra hour at least.
Once in the car is running great. Such a simple repair to so a troubling problem.
All 4 are working without issues for the last 5 days.
They haven’t been in long but everything is going great. I will update this review if they fail to last or start to have any issues.

I had originally bought some cheap set of coils for less than the price of one of these for my 2005 Nissan altima 2.5l Then a few months later had a cylinder misfire. Swapped that with one of these. Then another cylinder. So I just swapped the other 3. And now It is running great at more than 205,000 miles. Takes less than 5 minutes to swap with a 10mm socket.

I have bought the cheap ones in the past. However, I have always had longer lasting results and better performance with the Hitachi brand. Both in my Audi and my Nissans. The cheap ones never last as long as these. They are worth it to me.

Replaced 3 coils at the end of February with these Hitachi’s and my wife left the store in her Altima and barely made it home a few days ago. Listened to the engine and definite miss, no codes. I thought it couldn’t be the coils since I just replaced them, but did diagnostic test as well as just unplugging them and seeing result and one was almost dead. Not sure if these are knock-offs or not, but I will not be buying anymore. Not good quality to only last two months. I’m worried about the other two now, and will be buying something else, probably Denso or Delphi. Had previous trouble with NGK, so those are junk too.

UPDATED: I bought 1 to solve a misfire issue after diagnosing the single bad coil. Fixed it. Then the another coil went bad. I decided to just buy three more new ones and have four matching coils. The OEM that came with the car all went bad around the same time from my experience. Just save yourself the headache and replace all four. Running good for a about a year now.

I got a code on my car (P0303) which indicated that the cylinder 3 on my 2006 Nissan Altima was misfiring. The car was running really rough and acted like it was going to cut off and I had significant trouble accelerating during just normal around town driving. Upon doing the research I discovered that a likely fix was to replace the spark plugs and the ignition coils (keep in mind on your car the coil may appear to be plug wires). I in turn purchased these Hitachi coils for my car (I just replaced all 4 because most Nissan forums stated that once the car reaches around 170k the coils start to go bad). I replaced the coils and the spark plugs and my car is running like a champ. It was very easy to do and the whole job took about 20 mins. These coils worked great…they cost a little more but you get what you pay for.
