Update- I installed this on a 1990 vintage WI-390 to replace a non rebuildable, original carb. It has about 10 hours on it now and is working great so I’m very pleased. I do wonder about the consumables (float seat, etc.) as II can’t imagine their available but if it lasts for a couple hundred hours that’s it will be a great deal. I did adjust the idle air as it started to wander a bit when not under a load and it’s running very smooth now. Like I said, it’s a fixed jet carb – there’s no a whole lot to go wrong with them.

The OEM carburetors for the WI 390s are almost impossible to find and if you did find one they will be $150-$200. I took a chance on an aftermarket as it’s a pretty simple old style carb with a fixed jet. I installed it in about 15 minutes with no mods although I used the old spacer and paper gasket which were not supplied. It does come with a fuel line hose.Unfortunately it did not start initially but I removed the bowl and seeing no gas flow I jiggled the float a few times and started to see the proper gas flow so I think the new dry needle was stuck in the seat. Put the bowl back on and it started immediately. Runs very smooth with no rpm hunting without any adjustment(only adjustment on this carb is idle air and I use it at a fixed rpm). I’m very happy as my old carb was not rebuildable.Definetly worth the money.
