Item shipped and arrived quickly. The rear strap fits perfectly, but the front one was a little big. I really didn’t need to replace the front one anyway.

I called the Dodge parts department and gave my last 8 digits of the vin# to be sure I had the 34 gal. tank. And then ordered from here 😉 This fit great and is made to last. I found it extremely difficult to loosen the single nut. It needed 1 1/2 days of soaking in Pb blaster which didn’t work so well until I backed the nut back some sprayed more and then used a wire brush to clean the bolt….and more spray. Unfortunately I had to buy the “extra” deep socket in oder to clear that long bolt and get good leverage. I used the same old bolt because I figured that would be another can of worms getting the old one out and finding the appropriate replacement. I don’t think this is unpainted steel…looks like silver paint. I left it as is and installed without painting it.

Exact OEM fit and work as intended. Easy to install and they’ll probably last longer than the garbage original Dodge straps at a much cheaper price. Good buy.

I have a 2003 dodge ram 2500 with a 5.7l, vin search shows I have a 34gal but everything online I was looking at showed my truck had a 35gal. Wellllll I bought these, they got lost in the mail and they legitmately didn’t wanna send me a new pair without having me pay for another set and waiting weeks to receive (low inventory?) vs immediately shipping out a new set to their customer… how funny right.. so I took my business to Dorman and ordered their straps for a 35 gallon and received them the next day (black in the photos). The dormans were short by a few inches so I eventually reordered these and as you can see in the photos the larger straps are the same length wheras the smaller are much different. The Dormans (black) are about 23.5 inches and the Spectra (silver) are 26.5 inches. Not sure if these are aluminum or what but they weighed about half as much as the Dormans. I also sandblasted them and painted them with the por15 rust preventative paint and it’s 3 step system which includes essentially putting water on the bare metal…. well these still didn’t rust. So not sure what they are, they don’t feel like aluminum and 100% aren’t bare metal, so I guess with that being said, don’t worry about needing to paint them, just slap them on the truck 🤷♂️

I ordered these straps for my 2003 Dodge Ram. The listing on Amazon said made in Canada, but the package said made in China.
They are well-made and fit perfectly. I am happy they came bare metal and did not have some cheap paint or powder coat that would peel off or allow rusting in a short time. I dipped the ends in zinc chromate primer so it would get into the spaces where the steel was folded over onto itself and spot welded. Then primed the whole assemblies, afterwards painting them black.
Installation was simple and straightforward.

I saw the back strap was separating and holding on for dear life like a bra clasp at a cake convention. Ordered these and they were exactly what I needed. Thought only the back strap was bad but the above pic is the front strap that was rotten up between the frame and the tank. Turns out it was also as desperate as a Jenner for the paparazzi. Anywho, sprayed these with a little grey rustolem leftover on the shelf and good as new. I couldn’t imagine what a pain it would have been if these failed on a road trip pulling the trailer with the family.
