The gas struts on the bed cover of my GMC Colorado lost compression so I needed to replace them. These ST270ED1-45 27 inch Gas Strut were easy to install but it’s now a bit harder to close the bed cover. Over time they will probably relax a bit but I am happy with the result.

The replacement gas struts worked great but the end balls joints were too small to fit on my old hinges, I had to replace the end joints with my old ball joints.
The replacement ball joints should come in 2 sizes
