I bought this EBP sensor for my 2005 Ford F-250 with a 6.0 Powerstroke diesel. While pulling my camp trailer over to deer camp during the first part of October my intercooler blew apart and my turbo was destroyed. After getting my truck towed to a diesel shop, they determined that this brand new back pressure sensor was faulty causing an overboost condition which led to the catastrophic failures. All I can say is don’t buy anything other than Motorcraft parts if you want reliability with filters and sensors. I took a chance, trying to save money and thoroughly regret it. It ended up costing me over $3000 dollars.

I haven run the computer specs on this yet. Upon initial inspection of the part It looks to be the same quality as the original ford part, as far as fit and finish goes. With a hard reset on the computer I noticed immeiate better cold running capabilities of my 04 6.0. after a cool down and a second run, there was no lagging with hardly any warmup. The turbo starts spooling much sooner and there is a noticeable gain in overall performance and no more shaky acceleration on the hills. Upon initial installation I am very happy with this product. I did some research before I bought this part the company is us based and seems solid. Iook forward to good performance for a long time from this part. I hope I never need the lifetime warranty. but it is good to have thanks Stab motorsports. From 7500 ft elevation in utah!

Seems to help the turbo spool up a little faster than the stock one. Driven about 4 weeks now with no issues.

  4. Dalene Olsen

The sensor is of great quality and works perfectly.

I had previously bought a back pressure sensor from ebay that was fake, was supposed to be OEM. This one did work, not for sure how long it will last but is working good at the moment.

Perfect for 2007 F250 6.0. Truck was running terrible, loss of power, turbo overboost, would barely pull itself. Check engine code said this sensor was bad. Thought I would try this one & save some money compared to Ford sensor. Very easy to install, truck runs like a new one again.

  7. Amazon Customer

Did NOT work for our 2000 Ford 7.3L. Fit but did not solve the EBP problem. Only the new one from Motorcraft did. Total waste of money!!

I had replaced this sensor with a cheaper version a couple years ago and shortly after started getting engine codes again. After 5,000 miles or so still no codes. Fuel economy has improved also.
