Filter seems ok, but based on visual comparison, Honda’s original filter is far more substantive in materials and quality (thickness, density, etc). Will be going back to Honda next time. Why take chances? Fram quality seems to be declining over the years. I also notice they no longer state “meets original equip. mfr specticiations”.

I am a firm beliver of buying OEM products, but lately with being short on money I decided to buy this filter. I am glad that I did. It works great and is a lot cheaper than purchasing the OEM filter. I did find that buying this on amazon.com was much cheaper than in an auto parts store. I will buy again when I need to replace the filter again.

This filter seems well made and is much more substantial than the stock filter. However, this does not matter since it does not fit the 2012 Civic it was ordered for. It shows as a fit in the parts finder, so be aware.

This filter fit my 2010 Honda Civic. With the OEM price ranging from 40-50 bucks it’s a good buy, and easy to install. After you loosen the metal clips, the cover feels a little stiff towards the back (away from you). But it’s the big “hose”-looking connection that is attached to the cover. It comes off after wiggling it a bit.

This is a good filter, and it fit my Honda Civic perfectly. I took off a star, because the filter was noticeably lighter than the Perolator filter I replaced. In addition, the filter pleats were thinner.

I don’t know why but my K&N filter gets crappy gas mileage in the winter but great mileage in the summer. SO what I’ve been doing is swapping the filters out every winter with the stock one. Well I have lost the stock one and this Fram CA10165 was to be my back up and I couldnt be happier. I’ve already seen a improvement in gas mileage and it’s only been a couple days.

As stated in the title, replacing the air filter to your car is a simple way of making it run better, getting better gas mileage, and keeping the engine internals a little bit more clean.
The other reviewer of this filter is confused on that this may be a cabin air filter rather than an engine air filter. This filter is designed as a engine air filter, not a cabin air filter.
This filter was very sturdy and had a perfect fit upon replacing the existing OEM Honda filter than came with my Civic.
As always, the dealership wanted way too much money, $68, to replace this filter. Obviously Amazon’s price of around $13, made the choice simple.
Installation was easy, less than a 10 minute job under the hood. Nothing to remove or unscrew, just a few pull tabs and the air filter assembly opens right up to replace.

Not a high flow filter like K&N I trashed it seller misrepresented that it was don’t do its a reg air filter I trashed it got good one high flow like K&N same price junk here😡👎reusable.update 7/6/18 kept filter for a spare I use a huge flow air filter.

At first, it looked like it fit perfect but when i tried to close the lid it wouldn’t lock it in. It shouldve been an easy fit but after a good 15 mins of trying to shut the lid and lock the lid in place it finally let me. I gave it a 3 star because I shouldn’t have had to struggle that much to replace a filter.
