This is a better solution than the removable suction mount. It’s more compact, allowing me to hide it behind the rear view mirror, and it seems to be holding up better under the southern california’s scorching sun and heat.
I got this because the suction cup, which is actually pretty good and lasted a long while before it lost the suction after a long, hot, scorching summer day. No complaints. And I love the fact that they didn’t try to charge me an arm and a leg for it.

This little beauty works perfectly with my Nextbase Dash Cams!! I took a chance as its advertised as a DrivePro accessory and the Nextbase specific mount was out of stock but trust me the Nextbase Cams work perfectly with it. It is much less obtrusive than the suction mounting and allows you to position the Camera much higher on the windscreen.
The 3M Adhesive sticks to the windscreen perfectly and comes with a spare if you don’t read the instructions and mount the Camera immediately after fixing. leave it alone for 24 hrs as instructed and you wont have any problems with it falling off providing you fix it to a clear part of the screen and not the “bobbly area” some car manufacturers put at the top of the windscreen local to the rear view mirror.

After having used the suction mount for a while so as to ensure exactly where I wanted to place the Transcend dash-cam I went ahead and installed the adhesive mount to more securely hold the camera. The suction mount would come unstick and fall of the windshield if the car was parked in strong sun on warmer days. The adhesive mount solved that problem. It’s also slightly more compact as compared to the suction mount so I found it easier to tuck the camera a little further behind the rearview mirror so it’s not as noticeable.

No more falling off! Kind of over priced for what it is. If you have a windshield like me that has little plastic dots on it this mount is the only way to go.

I have a Transcend Drive Pro 220 Dashcam and use it in both my car and motorhome. Last year I used the suction mount in the motorhome and the fixed mount in the car. The fixed mount worked great in the car so I replaced the suction mount with this fixed mount in the motorhome, a great improvement.
