I work as a delivery driver, and we use iPads for planning our route and tracking deliveries as we go. Shifts sometimes last 12 hours. The iPads are old and have to be plugged in all the time or they will go dead during the shift. They plug the iPads into a USB port in the truck but it’s underpowered and can’t keep the iPad charged through the day. Fortunately, I found this 30W Volcn fast charger. It keeps the iPad charged better than the built-in charger in the truck. I used to have to constantly turn off the screen on the iPad to keep it from completely draining the battery during the shift. With this charger, I can keep the screen on all day and still finish the shift with the battery at 50%. So far, this has been a great charger for me.

I like these two little cigarette plug chargers–they are shorter than most and fit flush and tightly to the female lighter port. They have a little swivel metal half circular handle on the plug end, if needed to pull the plug out–I did not have that issue. I tested both ports on both of these chargers. They readily charged type C ports in a headlamp, a personal fan using the USB-A port, which I also tested for its capability to charge an iPhone. I tested the capability of the C port to USB-A port in an LED work lamp, and it worked and lit up the charging lights in it; though it did not generate any flashing of the lights. I used a small type C split charger to the USB-A and it worked fine and produced a blinking light on the last of the charging indicators. I did not have any of the new high speed ports, so the charging rate was about that expected from a regular USB cigarette lighter port. It was slightly slow on the iPhone, and on topping off the personal fan. I was able to use both the type A and Type C USB’s simultaneously, and suspect it might have been a little slower–but it charged well. Overall I like these–they worked well, are simple to use, and functional. These will be a big help to me in my off-grid cabin with a deep cycle battery bank powered by solar panels. The one type of cable I didn’t have was a type C to Type C. Again, to be clear, I was not able to charge the new higher power outlet ports.

Great little charger. Charges with quick charging, and doesn’t take up much space. Price is right, especially for two. The little handle helps you remove from the socket since it’s nearly flush.

I love how small these are. They are almost the same depth as my 12v accessory outlet, and have a handy flip-out handle to assist in removing it.
I ordered this because I needed a USB-C outlet to charge my watch while I’m in the car. Having both a USB-A and USB-C port is the best of both worlds when I need to charge older devices.
One minor inconvenience of this as far as I can tell, it will only output 5V on the USB-A port when anything is using the USB-C port. Otherwise my Samsung Phones will charge at “Super Fast Charger” speeds on USB-C and “Fast Charger” on USB-A.
The 2 pack gives me one for each car, or a travel accessory when you need a rental.

This charger works well.
However, at least Samsung’s (S22 Ultra, phone) version of “Super Fast Charging” speed, is only available by using the USB C port alone, with a single cable all by itself.
It will also charge 2 devices at once but only with each at the normal “Fast Charging” speed of 5 volts 2 amps.
In other words, as soon as you connect any second cable through the regular USB port, it drops the USB C output down too.
It also has a “sometimes slightly annoying” handle (used to pull the charger back out of apparently extra deep receptacles) which is often hanging down spontaneously and blocking insertion and removal of cables if your plug is say, in your RV’s ceiling, as mine is.
I was also surprised it isn’t always as “low profile” as I’d thought. But this may depend on your particular cigarette receptacle’s depth. However in mine, it still stuck out significantly from being flush with the receptacle’s surface (picture included).
The blue “power on LED” seems to only show out from inside the USB C port too.
Despite these very minor shortcomings, it otherwise works just as expected.
So all in all, I think it’s still a good deal for 2 of these.

Works Great! I use one as intended in my truck and the other I disassembled to make a dashcam plug in my overhead console. Really condensed my wiring in this case.
For the intended use, charging devices, it works well! Fits snug into my 12v port and doesn’t stick out much. Charges my moto G power fairly quickly if needed. More importantly, it charges my sons phone quickly when he forgets to plug in at home.
Highly recommended!
