I have a rear main seal leak in my ’06 Honda Ridgeline. It started about 15K miles ago roughly. I put in the Blue Devil Rear Main sealant first and it worked for a while. It went from about 10 drops a night to a couple. then completely stopped for a while. After a period of time (not sure exactly since I stopped checking assuming this might be a permanent fix) I noticed the leak had returned. Upon my next oil change I moved to this product, which according to sources is a stronger stop leak. This works better but the leak did return eventually. On my 2nd bottle of this product, I changed my oil early (for a different reason) during the period of time when the leak had stopped…so I added a 3rd bottle to fresh oil at a point where the leak was stopped. For clarification, except for the first bottle of the rear main seal stop leak, my practice has been to add one bottle when changing oil. Hopefully, I can get ahead of the issue with fresh Blue Devil on an already stopped leak? Dunno—not holding my breath. It works good enough that I would recommend it. It seems effective if you have leaky seals, but I am not sure it is a permanent remedy.

I put this Blue Devil Pour & Go Oil Stop Leak in my 2001 Jimmy 4WD after talking with customer service who assure me that it will stop the engine oil leak completely but if not they have money back guarantee.; Now when its over two months when I poured it with new oil change and waited this long which is actually 3 months but I said two months because I didn’t drive my Jimmy everyday and as they said it will take to completely stop after 100 plus miles and now when I drove my Jimmy over 500 miles, it looks oil is leaking more than before because I have to fill oil every 1-2 weeks (about 2-3 pints but I buy 5gallon Jug and pour from the jug because it is economical in cost and I use high mileage Castrol or Mobil One high mileage oil). I am going to contact Blue Devil customer service after this thanksgiving holidays and will see what they say/ suggest/advise but from their first conversation before I use it they sound pretty nice people but I will write to tell after purchase and use what they will say (either money back or something else).

I’ve had a very slow drip in my vehicle for over 10 years. I was told that it was a timing cover leak and the estimate when originally diagnosed was approximately $3500. The extent of the leak is one drip per day and I did not think that it was worth proceeding with the expensive repair job. It does not amount to more than a cup of oil leaked between oil changes but it is enough to leave a stain in my garage and parking stall at work. I’ve kept a very close eye on my oil levels and have tried a variety of products over the years intended to stop leaks. I park over a piece of cardboard in my garage so I can monitor the leak. When my oil level had dropped below the FULL line, I added the entire bottle of Blue Devil and drove my vehicle for approximately two hours. I have parked in my garage for the last week and there are no drips on the cardboard. This product has worked for my vehicle.

This product does what it says, but you have to be patient. I recently had an oil leak on my truck. And since it’s been the first time I’ve ever had anything like that in any of our line of cars in my family, I figured I’d test this out before I get down and work on the main-seal gasket or head-gasket. Afterall, its almost winter and I need the truck to head to Tahoe, every chance I have. I pour the whole bottle in the crankcase, and after driving it a couple of hours it didn’t seem to make much difference. Then I did the same the following day, and I began to see less oil consumption. Lately, it seems to just drop one drop every now and then. I would look at it as the best patch-job in the market, but will consider tearing the engine apart in the summer and fix the leaking problem permanently.

About a week ago I gave this product a bad review. I had followed the instructions.
It took longer then expected to seal the leak so I am eating my words and now reporting it works.
Not inclined to replace gaskets on a car that is at almost 200000 miles.
My plan is now is to add 2 oz of Blue devil at each oil change So I will need to purchase another bottle
before my next oil change.
It took about 1 week to stop leaking oil. So give it some time.

Still no leak and am very pleased with it.

My wife drive this car for short distance 10 Minute trips for the most part.
It started leaking a little bit. I believe every so often at least every 3 or 4 weeks needs a 30 minute drive.
Since I drove it more over the weekend it stopped leaking.
