Very difficult to install. Removed the top two screw from center stack and was able to wedge it in. Bit of a gap on one side, but seems sturdy enough. The unit is good enough that I will keep it now that it is in. Great place for my phone with a coiled cord.

I was a bit hesitant to order this based on the other reviews that said it didn’t fit well, but I really wanted to use something better than the built-in phone slots under the dash where I always forgot to grab my phone because I didn’t see it.
When it arrived, I was completely prepared for a challenging installation, but to my surprise, it just snapped right into place. My truck is a 2022 RAM 1500 Big Horn with the 8.4″ screen.
I have no idea if there have been any design changes between the other reviews and the one that I got, but it literally could not be a cleaner or easier install. I simply hooked the clips in the front under the trim and pressed the back clip into place and it clicked right into place. I haven’t tried to remove it, but if/when I do, I’ll probably use a trim tool to loosen each of the three clips individually.
The phone is held in place firmly, and the mount allows a lot of range to get it just where you want it. It does stick up a bit high into the windshield area if you mount the phone pointing up. You could turn it the upside-down so that it doesn’t go so high, but it would block the air from the vent. You can turn the phone sideways if you wanted, too.
This is almost the perfect phone mount, other than my minor quibble about it riding so high. I don’t know where a phone holder could clip on anywhere else on the dash, though.
This is a really nice phone holder, and I don’t know why so many other reviewers have had trouble with it. Maybe they had a slightly different vehicle trim or the larger screen or something?

I see others say it was extremely difficult to get this thing attached. I couldn’t get it attached. Well, i say that, but i don’t want to break my truck’s dash so i was not going to force the thing into place. As it was, i thought i already heard something break but i couldn’t tell what it was. so that was my queue to stop trying to install this.
the thing says it’s an easy install…. I disagree. nothing easy about this install.

Clip is way longer than what’s space for it on the dash for my 1500 ram. was not able to clip it in place.

It’s not easy to install the connector very tight.

I like the fact that this is supposed to get your phone up and in your line of vision without modifying your truck. To install it start with sliding the front into the top of the vent. Then you should be able to just slap the rear down, but it doesn’t work. Instead while the front is slid in, push it farther in while with your second hand pull the dash toward you. Then with your third hand slap the back down. 50% of the time it will stay.
If you touch it too hard it will just pop off. Then onto your next problem. With the truck in park it gets in the way of the gear shifter. It prevents you from locking into “Park”, not good. So you have to twist the phone in order to put your truck in park. It’s something I can manage but I shouldn’t have to.
With it in place it does hold the phone securely. It also allows you to rotate the phone which is nice. I have my doubts as to whether it will stay on after hitting a bump while driving. The design needs to be improved upon so that you can install it with only two hands maximum.
