bought this on a whim as it was only $13, but it performed way better than the $25 one i bought a year ago, doesn’t wiggle so much when going WOT or just come spirited driving. only been using for a week now, but my old one fell off due to losing suction every other day, or multiple times in one day. I Highly recommend this one as it is not reliant on a spring for suction power if you need to replace the Factory suction mount, we will just have to see how it will handle Arizona’s summer heats.

Stays on the glass but the part holing the radar detector won’t hold it’s position so it keeps dropping. Can’t make the bolt any tighter. Very poor design. And when it did hold it it was vibrating non stop which was very annoying. Don’t purchase this as you will be disappointed

Pros:

* Clever suction cup design
Cons:
* Locking the radar detector in a particular position can be a challenge as it does not hold a position well if adhered to the center of the windshield.
My vehicle has a sloping windshield and a dashboard that has a flat area on which I can rest the Max 360. By resting the base of the Max 360 on the dash and adhering the suction cup to the sloping windshield this effectively holds the device in place while controlling for movement. While a good solution for our car, if you need to suspend the detector in the center of the windshield this likely is not a great solution.

The good:
– Suction to the windshield is great. Haven’t had any issues of it losing grip and falling.
– My Escort Max360 (old, I know) mounts just fine to this.
Con:
– The pivot joint for the clip cannot hold grip for long term. Every several days it needs a retightening, and its to the point you have to use pliers to twist the knob tight enough to get a tight hold… until it’s loose again.

UPDATE 6/22/2024:
Had this for almost three months now and still love it. Stuck it to the windshield and only once, after about 2 1/2 months, did the suction cup come loose. My original Escort mount had to be repositioned every 3 weeks or so…when it was new. As it got older, the Escort mount needed to be repositioned weekly until it came to the point where it wouldn’t stick at all.
The control arm adjustment on this new mount, which adjusts the elevation, is still tight, I have never had to readjust it. Very well-designed, and sturdy. Overall, a good purchase.

First of all, I am NOT a “Vine” customer. I “bought”, (as in “paid real money for”) this mount.
The original “sticky” mounts that came with my Escort detectors work well, up until they don’t work any more. Took about 3-4 years, then they slowly peel off the windshield. I have had two of the original mounts have this problem in the last year. I just saw this mount and bought it because in the picture it looked about identical to the mount that came with the new Rove dash cam I just bought, which is very good.
The suction mechanism on this mount, which affixes it to the windshield appears to be IDENTICAL to the Rove mount, which is exactly what I hoped for. The suction cup is sturdy and the knob that you twist and create the suction to the windshield is excellent, very strong and easy to turn to make a very tight seal. The part that actually holds the detector to the section mount is magnetic, and fits the detector perfectly. It was less than HALF THE PRICE of an original replacement Escort mount.
Need to see how long it lasts but at this point I would recommend using it instead of replacing with another original Escort mount.

Works but not well will not stay straight on the windshield bounces around. It does not have the same support as the one that came with the radar detector. Unfortunately, the original one broke. I ordered this. It doesn’t Support the same at all.

Works better than the original suction cup windshield radar detector holder from Uniden. Definitely recommend to use this as a replacement or if you just want a much better radar detector holder!
