OMG! This CoolPow Retractable Car Charger is great! I’ve been through maybe 6 or 8 chargers for the cigarette lighter spot or other similar port and this finally fixes all the issues I’ve had to deal with over the past few years. It doesn’t really show it on the photo but the two retractable cord ends are a USB-C which works on most all current generation devices but the second cord end is for the iPhone/Apple Lightning Cord, (just one more reason that I can’t stand Apple!), which is needed for iPhone 11 to 14 when Apple decided to join the rest of the Universe with the USB-C. If you only have the iPhone 11 to 14 phones/tablets they have you covered. There are two power receptacles for a standard USB and mini USB-C so you could charge 4 devices at the same time. The USB-C is the typical power plug for Android and you could have just about anything on the other end of a standard USB.
The retractable cords are just what we needed to stop getting her Apple and my Android cords all twisted up and at some point during the night and someone grabs their phone and pulls the whole charger out of the cigarette lighter port. The retractable cords on this CoolPow charger extend almost 3 feet which is more than enough to be able to view your phone during charging. When you’re pulling the cord to get to a certain length for using the phone, you can pull it out then give it a quick tug & it will lock at whatever length works for you.
It’s got a blue indicator light you can see from the face to let you know the unit is receiving power. If it’s not lit, you may need to check to see if it’s all the way in or if there’s any debris blocking the connection. Maybe stick a vacuum hose over the top to pull out any crumbs, etc. that might be blocking the connection. And, above the connector that goes into the 12V power port in your vehicle it’s got a knuckle that allows it to swivel or rotate about 180deg. Just another feature that isn’t necessary but it’s really nice to have.
This is the most functional, sturdy, useful charger I’ve ever had. My wife was constantly frustrated with the tangled cords with past chargers and this one solves that problem 100%. I won’t go so far as to say this saved my marriage, but it sure didn’t hurt matters! At this price which is far below what they could charge, it’s a bargain! Even for the way it stops the clutter and twisted cords it would be worth this price. I highly recommend this charger and hope I have answered all your questions or concerns!

This is an awesome model idea, especially for something like my pick up truck. That’s a single cab where I don’t need a super long long cord to reach the kids in the back or anything of the sorts so and it just winds it all up you need more charging you got more. The only thing I don’t like is if the clock spring inside of these goes, there goes your attraction and if like every other cord in my life, my children have anything to do with it. They’re gonna find a way to break the end right by where it plugs in kinda like we all used to go through in the 90s with headphone jacks and that’ll be the end of that. I hope I’m wrong I really do and in a controlled environment like my truck or the kids aren’t gonna have free run. There’s a good chance it will but I also like the fact that you can plug-in get the extra USB ports to plug in more devices or different cords if you have anything else to charge, for example I’ve got a light that uses a docking station that plugs into USB the flashlight type thing which is often around my truck because it’s one of my work lights for when I work on vehicles the fact that it is the UV is probably a big part of that so I can test for leaks that way, but I digress for the price of this charger. You’re getting a lot of bang for your buck an awful lot. Honestly, I’m impressed with it. I tried it in my BLUETTI which has a 12 V charging port like that like a car cigarette lighter as we all grow up calling them. I think there’s a proper name for them now I don’t even think a dealership could tell you what the proper name for it was when I was a kid so pardon my ignorance. I guess i’ll call it but that style of 12 V power is a featured on these portable power stations which was quite surprising to me because it’s kind of a technology that’s getting few and further between you. Don’t see them out like you used to, but I tried it on it and it worked excellent it does the thing it charges fast too.

This charger honestly completely caught me by surprise. I just thought I got a charger for the car. You know almost every charger says it’s fast charging and more often than not, it just seems to be super slow. NOT this one. This thing charged my phone faster than anything I’ve ever seen. It literally says it’s super fast charging when it’s plugged in. It’s honestly awesome. I left my house with 15% battery and I was on the phone when I plugged it in, fully expecting it to just keep my phone from dying but not actually give it any battery juice like normal from my car chargers because I was on it. I drove for maybe 15 minutes when I noticed it said it was at 56%. I thought something had to be glitching on my phone because there’s no way I got that much battery juice in so little time. Another 15 minutes and I was almost at 90%. I couldn’t believe it. Because life is so dull these days, I’m telling my gf about how absolutely impressed I am by this charger and how I thought my phone was tripping. She told me how she was shocked when her phone did the same thing when she was driving it. We both talked on and on about it lol This is no exaggeration. I guess you just get used to everyone overselling their products and being let down that when you get something that does what it should but more, you’re genuinely surprised. This one caught me all the way off guard in the best way imaginable. This is great for road trips or days when thought plugged your phone in before bed but actually didn’t and have to go with almost no battery. You’ll be powered up in no time!

My previous car adapter-charger had one port for charging. With my phone and my kids’ devices it was always a battle over who got to charge up.
What I liked about this new charger was it charged one phone and two tablets all at the same time. My favorite feature was the retractable cables. They don’t get tangled and I always knew where to find them. I was so thrilled with retractable cables I ordered a bunch to reduce the cable clutter in my home.
One problem I had was staying connected. The adapter was heavy and the movement of the caused it to disconnect. I drove around thinking I was charging but I wasn’t. Needed to periodically push on the charger to ensure it was connected.

I picked up this charger to put in my wife’s car. As she has a Samsung personal phone, and her work phone is an Iphone. So, she is constantly in need of 2 different chargers just for phones. But in todays world. Most of us also have smart watches, headphones, and other devices that need charging as well. Initially, We had an adapter that had multiple USB ports in it. Which worked, but it also meant having 4+ cords tossed around the front seat of the car. All of them typically the same color. Making it a nuisance to try and find the right charger for your phone if you need to plug it in. I was concerned about the retractable chargers on this adapter and whether or not they would end up breaking and no longer retracting after a few uses. However, I can happily say that after a month and a half of regular use. It has shown to be quite durable! Definitely a solid design to remove clutter from the front seat. Both retractable chargers work great, and charge at a good speed. It is easy to snag one of the chargers and pull it out to plug in a device, and they are long enough that you are never battling for it to reach your phone if is in a dash holder.
For $16, it is definitely worth the price, as I have seem some adapters 3-4x that price that have not worked as well, nor offered as much ease of access! would definitely recommend!

So I was a bit nervous when first using this charger as I’m not comfortable inserting anything into the cigarette port of the car, thankfully there wasn’t really much to it just plugged it in and made use of the now available charging ports and let me say this was amazing, I was able to charge my phone within an hour from almost being dead, was stuck in traffic for TWO hours because of an accident and this saved my sanity as I was able to plug my switch in and play games while waiting for traffic to clear, its ridiculous how useful this is and why I didn’t use something like this sooner. We had gone on several trips now with friends and because this has extendable cords we were able to keep everyone charged and happy while we went to camping trip. The cords are retractable which is perfect for keeping things clean, as advertised you can charge 4 devices at once. So far its been going strong for the month we’ve been using it, its almost my daily driver especially when charging my phone.
