this simple bracket is basically identical to all the other ones on the market. fit and finish are a bit industrial but it’s made well and should prove durable. it comes with all the hardware you need and even a crummy screwdriver if you don’t have one yourself. installation is easy. If you like the price, you won’t be disappointed!

Installed this on my ’04 Jeep Wrangler TJ to mount a rear cam above the license plate — it worked out great. The bracket is solid, made from a quality alloy that feels durable and well-made. I liked that it came pre-drilled, which made the install quick and straightforward. Just tighten it down to the plate, mount the camera, and you’re good to go.
The adjustable angle is a nice touch. I was able to tilt the cam to get a wide view behind me — perfect for backing up with more confidence. It worked for installing my backup camera. Fit the license plate, the screw holes matched up just fine. The included kit had everything I needed to mount and hold the camera in place sturdily.

Very easy to install as it mounts behind the license plate. Simple design, easy to mount the camera to it. Keeping the side screws secured is a challenge though, might just be my setup. I had to use a bit of thread locker to keep the screws from backing out, which would cause the camera to face down.

This looks nice but I am unable to use it with the backup camera i have. It does not have a hooup that can fit it.

Old School Automotive –
This mount worked perfectly for the installation of a “cube” type backup camera. The bracket was cut out in a way that properly matches the mounting hole and cable layout of the back of the camera, so it fit both the camera and the license plate properly. In my case, it positions the camera low enough to be out of the way, but not so low that it could be construed as blocking the State name at the top of the plate (which you can be pulled over for where I live). The camera bracket is held in place with two tiny screws which I initially thought wouldn’t hold the camera from slipping down on my rough road, but they were able to be tightened securely so I’m not worried about the mount “aiming” itself down over time Installed easily, worked properly, and seems to be a pretty decent value for the money.

A clever way of attaching this type of camera that actually works pretty well considering it’s simplicity. Most of the stereo kits that include these cameras don’t include this type of bracket. It clearly won’t fit all models. On pickup trucks it could leave the camera a bit too exposed and on cars or SUVs that have the trunk/hatch release right above the plate, these aren’t gunna work. This particular kit worked for me just fine. I didn’t end up needing the spacers but the tiny screws and screwdriver saved the day.

This bracket really should be standard equipment with all back-up cameras. This means a non-destructive installation to your car since you don’t have to screw the camera to your car or use adhesive that may fail or peel your paint off. Setup was fairly easy. On small preference is if they are going to provide a screwdriver, that it would be magnetic for easier screw insertion, but I was able to use the supplied screw with minimal frustration. I love the behind the license plate mounting option to give a more OEM look and allow for maximum visibility of the plates. Great mounting solution that should be standard, 5-star item for me!
