everything was spot on. Would have like a diagram of how blades went on. no matter what i did, it always looked off.

Not sure why the HRR2169VKA is so hard to shop for, but it never seems to show up on the list of compatible models for any Honda parts, and no one ever seems to know what will or won’t fit on it. So if anyone else out there has the same model, and is experiencing the same frustrations I did trying to figure out which kit to buy, I just thought I’d pass on that this kit worked perfectly on mine.
The blade does seem slightly slimmer in profile than the original blade, but otherwise it went on without problems, and cut my grass like a new blade should. This kit is almost everything you need to get your mower back to like new operating condition, much cheaper than if you were to buy the parts individually. I combined it with a new drive belt, and a new set of wheels. Everything took about an hour, and my mower couldn’t be happier. The only negative thing I might say is that you don’t need an entire quart of oil. A 12oz bottle would have been handier. But that’s a minor nitpick.

Best value and very convenient. At the time I researched this tune up kit, it was the best value out available in spring 2016. I compared it to Home Depot/local hardware stores, and this kit was about 10-15 dollars less than Home Depot’s kit because you had to buy the blades separately. It was also a lot less expensive when purchasing the items in the kit separately on Amazon. The Tune up kit came with everything I needed for my Honda mower’s tune up. I didn’t have to worry about any of the part’s compatibility. Everything just fit perfectly and the mower started right up on first pull. Note that I had no trouble before with the mower as this is a Honda mower!..:)This was just part my standard maintenance of the mower. I do this every couple of years.

5 Stars – This Tune-Up Kit is convenient, well-priced, and everything you’ll need. I bought this kit especially for the extra blades. My 2004 HRR216SDA Quadra Cut Harmony II original blades were the twin “mulching” blades, and these new ones are the high-lift “bagging” design and are what I actually have needed all along. (FYI – The trailing edge of these blades is angled more steeply – providing more updraft).
Well, the proof is in the pudding – first use mowing through heavy fall leaves was like using one of those GOAT vacuums, and left a clean cut and a clean trail. Plus, with the tune-up kit, the Honda ran as smooth as silk with new spark plug, air filter, & oil.
A recommendation – after EVERY use, I turn the fuel valve to off and let the carb starve for fuel and empty, so that it is fresh, clean, and ALWAYS starts easily. Additionally, I use Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer to keep gas from getting ‘skunky’ LOL. (With the solid maintenance my Mower and Vehicles receive, no reason they won’t outlive Me – time will tell).
A WORD OF CAUTION – **If you’re unsure or uncomfortable with a blade change – Just Don’t – Stay Safe.**
About my Blade change – the bolts that secured my older blades must have been tightened with an air impact wrench at my local shop when they sharpened the blades last time, and they were Wildly Overtorqued. I had to use a two foot “cheater” pipe extension on my 1/2″ drive ratchet to break them loose, and I’m 6′ 220lb. When replacing these bolts – MAKE SURE TO USE A TORQUE WRENCH set to Honda specs – a detached blade would be deadly.

I don’t write reviews often, but I needed to in this instance. If you’re looking for a one stop shop to get your Honda lawn mower running right, this is the place.
The parts are all OEM. They fit flawlessly and, most importantly, work well. My old lawnmower was in bad shape. It had issues starting, it would turn off randomly and it was honestly neglected.
Between a new spark plug, an oil change, the correct filter (I found my lawnmower never came with one!) and new blades this thing runs like new. It starts on the first pull, slower speed settings don’t cause it to stall and it roars. A little maintenance goes a long way and I’m ashamed it took me years to see the value in it.
A few additional things that may make a difference as well include a) treating the gasoline with Star Tron b) removing the filter and with the mower running, run Marvel Mystery Oil through it.
I’m borderline useless when it comes to anything mechanical and I was able to do the work in less than two hour (and that includes siphoning the gas).
As a side note, you won’t need to use all of the oil, pour a bit at a time and re-check because it fills up quickly.
The value here is incredible. I think a year or so ago when I bought a third party set of blades they were around $30 and here you get everything you could ask for aside from a torque wrench and a spark plug wrench (the Honda manual states to get a 21mm and that fit flawlessly).

I have ordered this produce for my mower several times. It contains all you need, and is genuine OEM so you know it fits! Three things to note, the oil container has enough for TWO oil changes. Check the dipstick often while filling with fresh oil to not overfill. Secondly, spray some WD-40 on the bolts for the blades, let it soak for 15-30 minutes prior to attempting to loosen the bolts. Thirdly, double check the way the old blades are installed prior to take them off, as the rotation is counterclockwise. I would order this again.

I order this kit for our Honda push mower every year. Good quality, everything fits, and saves money by buying as a kit instead of individually.
