I was all the time getting told I needed a new cabin filter when I’d get my oil changed. Cool, until they tell you it’s $65 and up. Excuse me? Uhmm, not even. When I saw this for $12, I knew they were full of bologna. It’s super easy to install and it works great. I looked up the reasons you’d need an air filter in the car (besides the obvious clean air) and the biggest reason is it keeps the HVAC running properly. I’ve had to have an air conditioner fixed in a car once, and after that expense I said never again. I’ll trade the car in before I deal with that aggravation and money hole. When I removed the filter I was surprised how gross it was. The car was only a year old. However, I do live in an area where there are a lot of dirt roads and farms, so dust is everywhere. When I changed the filter that musty smell your A/C or heater gets sometimes went away. I did also notice the air cooling the car down a lot quicker. I’ll change it out once a month for $12. Of course that isn’t necessary, but for probably the cheapest regular maintenance you can do on your vehicle, why not? Open your glove compartment, pull the old filter out, slide the new filter in. It fits perfectly and saves me a lot of money.

Fun-Driving Replacement Cabin Air Filter for Hyundai Tucson 2023-2022
The cabin air filter arrived sealed in plastic inside a branded box. This new filter looked good, felt substantial around the edges, and was the exact size of the last one I installed in my 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Vague instructions are listed on the back of the box, but if you haven’t done this before I recommend searching for a short video.
It literally took a couple of minutes to clean out the glove compartment box, open the box, unhook the latch on the bottom right-hand side, push the two sides of the box inwards (it unlatches) and bring the box down towards the floor. Unlatch the now visible plastic cover from the right-hand side and remove it. Pull out the used air filter and put the new filter in with the air-flow arrow pointing down. Unlike the last filter I ordered, the arrow on this one will show once installed. Close everything back up. Done.
It’s recommended that the cabin air filter be changed every 12,000 miles or at least once a year. If you haven’t done this before, you can do this, it’s so simple. Made in China.
