This three-pack of clay bars works great for removing contaminants from different parts of your car’s finish. You can use the heavy duty on paint that hasn’t been maintained for a while or on your wheels. The medium or light duty work great on newer cars or paint that haw been maintained but needs to be freshened up. The different colors for different clay types makes it easy to keep from mixing them up. I recommend starting light and only going heavier if required. I have a brand new car that I am planning to ceramic coat soon, so I will be using the light and possibly medium to prep the surface (the car was not transported by rail car, so it doesn’t have terrible contamination yet.)
At the current price of $19 for the three pack, this is a pretty good deal.

Think of clay bars as very fine wet sandpaper. The more contaminated your paint, the more you want the clay bar to smooth. The triple pack of clay bars give you a choice for how much you want to scrub off of your car. The downside is that you get a smaller glob of clay to work with, and you’ll need to replace the clay once it’s full of dirt.
I used a small chunk of clay to clean off a section of my car’s paint. It worked well leaving a very smooth surface ready for wax or coating. I used diluted car wash as a lubricant, and it worked well. This is a lot of work to do the whole car, and you’ll need to wax the car too, so plan accordingly.

I am a DIY weekend detailer for my own vehicles in my family. I tried the medium clay on my mirror caps of my focus st along with some n935 as clay lube. it seemed to get the fine particles off. I wiped it down 3x and then sprayed a ceramic quick spray and it was pretty good to go.
I tried the heavy grade clay on the glass of my commuter car aka the honda civic. It removed lots of dirt to my naked eye. I did not coat with ceramic spray this go around.
Overall, it seems to work fine on a relatively clean car. I will try to decontaminate the dirtiest car and see the results. As of now, I like it as the price is cost of 1 clay bar I used to purchase or 1 clay mitt.

These clay bars were exactly what I expected, and they do the job. My first challenge was removing paint overspray from a plexiglass windshield. Although it took some time, using a soap-and-water lubricant, the paint eventually came off without any noticeable scratching of the plexiglass. Next we’ll work on the swirl marks on my Audi.

I used the clay bar on my 14 Kia Sorento and it looks amazing. I scrubbed my car over and over and I couldn’t get satisfied. I broke down and used the clay bars and it got it slick, smooth and shiny.
