Fit perfectly and it is working fine so far. Also was not that hard to replace, just watched a YouTube video and I was ready. Boxing of the item was great with bubble wrap to protect the item. Great purchase i fully recommend it part and vendor!
Performance imports –
This product looked almost exactly the same as the OEM part that I replaced. Some of the writing on the casing was different, not a big deal.
This is the 3rd actuator/latch assembly I replaced in my 2009 Toyota Highlander, so I have some experience with the replacement procedure. There are so many things that can go wrong if you don’t work with these mechanisms all the time. If you’re mechanically inclined, go for it. If you’re not good at troubleshooting, pay someone to fix this for you.
If you are going to fix this yourself, make sure you test the door latch manually BEFORE you close the door. You may have to clamp a switch on the door to trick the car into thinking the door is closed. I made the mistake of closing the door before I tested it and it’s really really hard to get the door unlatched if you don’t know how to do it. I didn’t know how to do it but figured it out after 3 hours of trying. You can break the door panel if you’re not careful when trying to unlatch a door that won’t open. Make sure the switch for child proofing is off too.
If you’re not sure if you can do this replacement, pay someone to do it for you. Bottom line on the part I received, it worked well, hopefully it lasts. It’s the stupid 10 dollar motor inside that wears out. No, don’t even try to replace the motor yourself, I did it successfully once but never again. When you open these assemblies up, all the parts inside fall out and then you have to figure out how to put everything back together. I was lucky once, real lucky. Not trying again, ever.

Due to COVID just got to the shop to get latch installed . The item came in damaged and rattling around . Out off return time so now I’m stuck with broken product and door unable to open .

The product works great. The dislike was minimal and only 1 issue. The manufacture made the plastic that opens the bottom portion of the lid too hard. When ai tried to open it the lid flew off. Nothing serious because it snaps right on. The motor sounds very strong and not like the cheap OEM that wines and goes bad prematurely. There are videos online on how to put swap them out. It took me about 30 minutes to swap them out with no help.

Works as expected for 2012 Toyota 4Runner. This is my third installation in two weeks. I replaced the two front door actuators last week with the same brand. In the first photo attached, the new part is on the bubble wrap and the oem part is next to it. The disassembly of the rear door panel is very similar to the process for the front doors but the removal of the actuator was a bit more difficult. The window channel guide is bolted-in by two bolts but even removing them did not provide much movement. There is another bolt at the top of the door frame but it didn’t look like removing that would do much good with the window in the way. So I unscrewed the actuator and rotated it 180 degrees around the guide and down into the bottom of the door frame then pulled the lock wires out and removed the actuator. Putting the new actuator back in was a reverse of that process, dropping it down into the bottom of the frame, situating the lock wires and then rotating the actuator into position. Be sure to put the rod back between the blue guide shown in the last photo. As with the other installs, the most difficult part of the entire process was getting the door panel back on. This back door took twice as long to work in to the top of the frame correctly and the green lock wire kept popping out so I duct taped it in the channel. Even with the window down, it was difficult. I was finally able to get the top groove seated correctly by pressing very hard and reaching behind the groove and popping it over the edge of the door frame inch by inch. All functionality tested-out after all screws were back in place. All-in-all, 3 actuators replaced for a total cost of $185. Cost at the dealer would have been over $2K. No, it’s not the same part but it works.

Bought this for my 2012 Toyota Highlander and it was an exact match. Did some research on replacement and it seemed pretty easy. As it turns out, it was even easier than I expected. About 25 minutes from start to finish. No issues. Now my power lock works again!
