Yes all new cars eventually end up with a layer of dust mixed with human in them. I don’t eat in my car often but I’m always surprised how fast it picks up crumbs near the gear shift and the parking brake. This stuff picks up all that hard to reach crud easily. I used it to the the dust out of my vents and around the instrument cluster. It worked much better than other methods I have used in the past. I didn’t find myself needing any cotton swabs to get down into spots, this gel worked perfect.

The item works great for getting into small areas in your car. The container came broke in the mail, which started to dry out the item a little bit. Still works great though!

This “NIMeng Car Cleaning-Gel” came packaged in just the plastic container with a foil seal. The gel is very soft but isn’t too sticky, and smells nice like soap or deodorant. The texture and smell is so nice that I don’t really want to ruin it by cleaning with it. I’ll update if it gets used for cleaning, but for now it makes a nice fidget toy. UPDATE: The gel molded while sealed in it’s container after just a couple months. Gross.

This thing may seem like a gimmick but I can confirm after using it to spot-clean my (18 year-old) car today that this is the real deal, and works like a charm.
It came sealed and well-packaged, so there were no issues with the initial product. It has an /interesting/ smell, to say the least? In a strange way, it smelled like incense, which I’m not sure how that smell is derived when this is essentially glue, but I digress. I’m not sure that everyone will appreciate that smokey tinge, but I will say that the scent only lingers on your hands — it didn’t seem to add any fragrance to my vehicle.
It is indeed ideal for getting into tight grooves and corners, and I managed to turn one glob of this bright, beautiful blue into a pretty gross shade of green/brown, yet it was still sticky and could likely pick up more if I could’ve come up with something for it to pick up. It doesn’t leave any kind of glue-like residue behind, and although you see the sand/dust packed into it, it doesn’t leave any of it behind either. Now, I wouldn’t recommend putting a used piece of it back in the container (and to that tune, I wouldn’t recommend using it all at once), but it is genuinely long-lasting as far as single-use goes.
In my opinion, it is much more fun, much faster, and much less hassle than what a vacuum may have been expected to do (or maybe I just really hate vacuuming my car, but even that should go to show how effective this is, if I vacuum my car at best once a year and ran out of things to clean, aside from the carpet).
Since this product has less reviews than its competitors, I should mention that it does have a shelf-life, which is printed on the label. It says about 2 years, which I would assume applies to when the product is still sealed — reviews of similar products usually say that it can sit for about a year (if that), before turning into actual glue and having little to no practical use (or at least as advertised). Some people say it also has the chance of growing mold. So, make sure to make the most of it liberally, within a condensed amount of time, and keep it in a well-sealed, dry environment.
