This is a nice little Charger. Keep in mind it is a 1300 ma ‘charger’ that is 1.3 A. If one is going to try and charge a large battery it is going to take a while to get that done.
I would think this should be classified as a ‘Tender’. I will be using mine to keep the lawn mower battery healthy during the freezing winter months of non use.
The only problem I can see is the wires to the clip. They take the insulated wire & strip about 1/4 inch of insulation and fold back the bare wire which simply lies under the insulated wire against the clamp. There are prongs holding that configuration to the clip. That connection should be soldered or there will be a lot of corrosion developing. I will take apart and solder on mine. After that I expect a long life.

This car charging battery does not work. It is a ripoff. My son said it can’t charge a car battery. It is very small and looks like a miniature. It’s not expensive, but since it doesn’t do what it says, it is a total waste of money. It has a very short cord too. It needs to go into an electrical outlet, so it doesn’t make sense. Skip this one.

Its easy to use just plug it in and use the alligator clips to Maintain a battery,if you need to charge one good luck with this it take you 16 days but if your just want maintenance is perfect as 1 watt per hour aint goona mess anything up easy peezy

I think some people are making the mistake of thinking this is like a fast, full sized car charger – it is not. This is something more like in between a slow trickle and regular car charger. Using it to keep some motorcycle, tractor, riding lawnmower batteries topped off during the winter, and for that purpose seems to work just fine. Given the price, it is also very affordable and can get several as needed, although I just rotate it around.

I haven’t had to use it yet to recharge a 12 VDC car battery, but from the looks of it, it’s well made and uses parts and materials that should last a long time, especially if you don’t need to use it often. I have a full-size 120 VAC plug in charger to use when time is of the essence, but plan on using this one periodically as a “trickle charger” to keep the battery fully charged in a car we don’t use very often. If it sits for over two weeks, starting the car gets a little iffy.
Copper alligator connectors with rivet pin hinges are covered with pliable rubber insulators and have better than average springs to keep a firm grip. There’s a strain relief on the AC plug side of the unit, and the DC wires are attached with pressure crimps, but they seem secure and could be reattached if one comes loose. The connectors could be made more durable but I believe the money has gone where it needs to be, into the electronics inside the black box. No instructions but the ad blurb says it “Automatically switches to float / maintenance voltage after fully charging the battery,” which is the feature I was looking for. There’s an easy to see indicator light which I expect goes from red to green when the battery is fully charged and is just maintaining the charge. No instructions but there is a label on the unit which gives the average number of hours needed to charge a battery (assuming fully discharged?) depending on the Amp-Hour (Ah) rating of the battery, which ranges from 6 to 15 hours.

This is not even worth the $10 dollars that they’re asking for it. It claims to do 1.25 amps of power, but my SnapOn unit which does the same manages to actually revive a dead battery in a few minutes, whereas this will take hours, or even literally, days, depending on the discharge level. Tiny power cord, tiny clamps, and tiny power output make this a very skippable product. This is completely unusable, and not worth the hassle. Get a real car battery charger instead, preferably a name brand one. With expensive electrical equipment like car batteries, I would advise against cheaping out like this.

Works great but the only problem is that it charges really slowly so you’ll have to be waiting a long time for your car battery or any other big battery to fully charge
