This is a top quality brush. I have purchased this company’s (Paint Brush Corporation) paint brushes before and found them to be the best paint brushes I have ever used, so was very happy to find that they were now making part cleaning and detailing brushes.
These are large brushes that fit nicely in your hand, the plastic handle has a comfortable shape and texture. The bristles are evenly shaped and trimmed, and hold their shape well during use. I purchased this brush for use on my motorbike; specifically for brushing old wax, etc, out of crevices. (Also bought the Atlasta (#AT101) – parts cleaning brush to wash between the engine cooling fins and other tight spots, and that works well too, stiffer than the SoftTip, better for scrubbing)
Ok, so the price: yes, you will pay more than what a Chinese-made brush costs–BUT–since this brush should last ten times as long, I’m considering it a bargain. Very happy to now be using a quality, USA made product.

I don’t do very many reviews, but I am thrilled with brush, I cleaned two car interiors today with it and it was a difference maker. I used it with the Lithium Hyper cleaner and I was able to really get into the car’s interior crevices and get things truly cleaned, also worked great in scrubbing some leather seat spots. I bought the stiff version also which is a true parts cleaning brush. This brush is softer so as not to harm finishes, but firm enough to move the crud.
Update this is still my favorite detailing brush. The sister brush for parts cleaning-the stiffer one is also a favorite and holding up extremely well. The brushes cost a few bucks more, made in USA, but easily worth it in terms of quality and functionality.

This is a tough brush.
The Chemical Guys Boar brush doesn’t stand a chance to this. This thing is built to last. This is a quality tool that I can easily see lasting 1+ years.
It cleans between emblems easily and perfectly. You know how other brushes still leave dirt in between emblems, keyholes, and cracks? This one doesn’t.
This is definitely a stiffer than usual brush, I would not use it on soft black paint. Since 95% of my customer’s cars are already swirled, I’m not the least bit concerned.
This brush works very well for interior buttons, consoles, cracks in dashboards, vents, and more. I find that while other brushes are softer, they just don’t get the job done. This works excellent for center consoles, between shifters where there is always an impossibly tight crack.
As a professional detailer for 5 years, I can safely recommend this brush to anyone looking to up their game. This is a tool built to last, they don’t make em like these any more. Easily worth the price. I love it!!!

I’ve only had this brush for a week, but I’ve used it extensively to clean the beds of three very old and very dirty/rusty hand-planes, as well as their frogs and other parts, where it’s usually so hard to get into the nooks & crannies. I used it with SimpleGreen industrial degreaser (6:1 works for me) to generally clean and get rid of gunk. Then I used it with Evapo-Rust – I just rinse it well between the two products.
I haven’t lost any bristles, and the shape is still as-new, not mushroomed or splayed out. It is soft enough that it doesn’t disturb any remaining Japanning in the beds, but it’s firm enough to dig in and loosen old grease/dirt/grime. With Evapo-Rust, it’s the product that really removes the rust, but this brush helps it penetrate into corners and screw-holes, after which I use a wire brush and steel wool to finish it off.
Many reviewers have complained that this brush is too stiff. Yeah…it IS listed as a “detailing” brush for auto interiors. Maybe it’s a bit too stiff for soft leather or easily scratched surfaces. But for my money, it’s the best parts brush I’ve ever used.

I’ve used this thing to clean everything you can imagine. I abuse it on a daily basis. I’ve used it with all sorts of solvents and nothing caused the bristles to break down. The bristles are all still strait and in tact, it’s almost like brand new. I use it to knock the dust off my boots, to detail my car, basically anything. You could use this to wash dishes with and it would be amazing. It’s one of my all time most satisfying purchases I’ve ever made. You wouldn’t think a simple thing like this would inspire a long review about how great it is but I recently had a conversation with a buddy about it and decided to write a review when I got the chance. Sometimes you get something and the quality and usefulness exceeds all of your expectations and this was that for me. If you are thinking of getting a boars hair brush save your money and just get this and you can thank me later. It can do everything that can and more and will outlast it by years and years.

The versatility of this brush is what makes it such a good tool.
I’ve used it with solvent to clean bicycle parts, then washed it out and let it dry and used it to get the debri out of the seams of leather seats.
If you get wax or compound in a crack while you’re detailing a car, you can squeeze the bristles together into a sharp ridge and clean it out without touching the painted surface. The bristles are rounded off so they tend to leave fewer scratches and work great for cleaning around emblems.
I’ve got several of these and the first ones I bought I’ve had for, I think, twenty years. They make a great gift for a car or bicycle mechanic or car detailer. They also work great for cleaning grout in bathrooms, particularly around sinks and faucets.
The bristles are thinner and softer than on other parts brushes so you can even use this brush to clean under your fingernails.
I’m not sure if, while using it properly, it can be worn out or even made significantly less effective. I like tools and this is one of the best.
