Replacing an actuator is a pain ,,, removing door panels, etc. The last thing you need, as parts are scattered everywhere, is a part that doesn’t fit or doesn’t work. It fit perfectly and worked great. Another project completed.

Perfect fit for a 2017 RAM 2500 Tradesman. There is a guide video on YouTube by channel TRQ that was a big help. The video was for the front passenger door but the steps are more or less the same.
The hardest part in my opinion was getting the window free from the mounting bracket, ended up having to wedge a folded piece of cardboard under the glass since the little window cutouts to disengage the clips don’t line up to release both sides at the same time. (Thanks, RAM)
Hopefully this product lasts longer than the OEM one I replaced, but at least the price was half the cost.

My Power door lock would not work any longer. I was very skeptical with this purchase but I needed this part/Actuator, to lock my right/rear passenger door on a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500. I had to manually lock it. The cost from others and the Dealership, was a joke. This was the best price unless you can get it shipped to a friend in the States, I am in Canada and many After Market Places DON’T ship to Canada. This part came two days quicker than anticipated/told and it fit like new. If you go on youtube and see how this part is put on, If your handy with some basic tools, it is a snap to replace. I took off most of my door panel before getting the part. I trouble shot all of the possibilities, before hand that may be the issue with this door lock, I even contacted my Mechanic to get his advice, great guy. This was the perfect fit for my vehicle….do YOUR HOMEWORK before you purchase this item. It was returnable through “Prime” so this was not an issue. I just didn’t want to wait and find out it was the wrong part…..no issues, it’s a perfect match. I did have to take out the small blue plastic insert that was in the plug adaptor part. My old part didn’t have it and the connection for the power plug for this item would NOT fit in all the way to make it click. You will see what I mean when comparing the two parts. I thought I was going to have to return it but with a bit of patients and small needle nose plyers, it worked out great. I pulled out the blue plastic insert very carefully and it was fine. Don’t over do it and bend the pins inside the connector.
The price was half compared to other places and having the part delivered was great, took about a week. I was not in a hurry, it had to come from the States and through Customs. I would recommend this part, I would purchase again if needed for other door locks. I will see how long this lasts, hopefully a lot longer than the original did. NO wires had been severed in the door jam or inside the door. So, the Actuator was the problem… This same Actuator will fit other vehicles and years so DO YOU HOMEWORK. I am happy!
