I ordered this plastic restored with an initial reservation due to price over other similar products.
Once I received and opened the kit to use it on my annual detailing task for my car; I was impressed to find that you only need a few drops to get the job done ! This product is unique in that it appears to dry with a better sheen that other milky based products that I have tried. It’s a clear solvent type solution that comes as a kit with all the items I needed for doing the detailing job. A little goes a long way as I only used about 1/2 a bottle and have enough left for next year’s re-application.

I recently bought nice used car. It has a lot of black plastic trim on it. When whatever they used at the dealership came off after a few washes, I knew I was going to need ceramic coating. This product is amazing. It came with two polishing cloths, two sponges, two detailing sponge swabs, and gloves to go with the product itself. I followed the directions. It was easy to use and I still have half of the bottle. The product itself appears durable, it’s better than anything I have used. My car looks new! I’m extremely happy with this product.

I’ve had some pretty mixed experiences with a lot of other products, but I am pleased to say I’ve found one I actually like. The kit had everything I could need to apply the restorer, but I preferred using a microfiber applicator myself. It perfectly restored the plastic (which has almost 160k miles on it and is parked outside on the coast). The last image I’ve included is 2 weeks after applying this product, and I have washed it twice since then. The bottle is much bigger than a lot of other ones I’ve tried as well. If you want to properly restore your trim this is 100% the way to go.

It comes with gloves, sponges to make application easy and hands clean. I was a little skeptical about it. That said, the area that I needed was on the base of the windshield, the plastic is kind of grayed out. It was tortured between the engine heat and South Florida Sun. With this product, it did restore the appearance. I mean it is not like new rich darkness but at least it is deep dark. It took me about a little more than an hour to read the direction and tested on a small spot before I apply it using the sponge. It took more time to read than actually doing it. The only thing is how long will this last until it turns gray again. That said if it does, I have the product to restore it and it does not take a whole lot of it either. Recommended.

So far this is looking like a very good product. Wanted to restore a dull finish on a pickup truck Tonneau cover. Cleaned up the rubber/plastic section really nice. What I really liked went to get in the truck and after a rain storm the water was beading up like a slick wax. Looks like this stuff should also protect the rubber from oxidation which is great in the Texas sun. It is easy to apply and comes with a small applicator. Few drops and wipe across the rubber just like ceramic sealant. I went out to rub down and found nothing really was coming off, just brush quickly and looked great. So far I am impressed with this on rubber and plastic.

I am a long time car care driveway warrior. Been cleaning and detailing my own (and other’s) vehicles since I was a teenager in the 1970s using Dupont Number 7 in a tin can to bring the life back to factory lacquer paint. Great for the biceps but things have come a long way since then.
Have used ceramic based products on paint but not on plastic trim. Have always used standard (non-ceramic based) dressings and restorers on plastic – everything from Meguire’s, to Griot’s Garage, to Chemical Guys, to Turtle Wax. When the opportunity to try this ceramic based EKSOPLAN plastic trim restorer was offered, I could not pass up the chance.
Selected my daily driver 2007 Silverado as the test subject. Purchased new by me, the truck has never been garaged and has lived in the elements for all of its 18+ year life. The front bumper has a plastic topper that is original to the vehicle. Time and the elements have taken their toll. Untreated, the plastic is closer to grey than black with obvious variations in tone. The before pictures I took do not show quite how weatherbeaten it is as they were taken late on an already cloudy day.
Gave the truck a good wash and then went back and gave the bumper plastic a good scrubbing with simple green to remove any lingering dirt and prior coatings. Allowed the plastic to dry overnight. Working in the shade at about 70 degrees, I applied my usual dressing to the passenger side and this EKSOPLAN coating to the driver side. Left a small untreated area in the middle for comparison.
The ceramic restorer went on easily with the included pad and cloth. Only used a few drops – a little seemed to go a long way. Laid down smooth and even. Gave it a few minutes to penetrate and dry. Lightly buffed it with a cheap, clean microfiber utility cloth. Gave the plastic a rich, even, dark appearance. Not too shiny but not dull either. Very natural looking. Not greasy to the touch. Did the other side with my usual trim dressing. The pictures show what the bumper looked like an hour after the products were applied.
After one week and two rainy nights, there is no appreciable change in appearance of either product. Since the real test of car care products is the test of time, my plan is to evaluate every week for the next month or so and report back with photos. So, for now, based solely upon initial application appearance and a single week of real world exposure, I will put this product at four stars. Costs much more than a “regular” (non-ceramic) trim dressing with the same initial effect/appearance. If it turns out to be more durable or long lasting, I may increase the rating. If it does not outlast a traditional dressing, I will likely downgrade it. Stay tuned.
DISCLAIMER: I am a member of the Amazon Vine program. This means that I receive some products free of charge (but considered income to me for tax purposes) to use and review. I only request/accept items I will actually use. My reviews are based on this real-world usage – they are not mere regurgitations of the Amazon product description or insincere hype. I am not a shill and I do not consider the fact that an item was provided without charge as part of my ratings. I have given Vine products one star, five stars, and all points in between. A defective, incomplete, dangerous, or fraudulently described item gets 1 star (zero is not an option), a below average product 2, and an average product 3. You have to earn a 4 or 5 star rating. I put serious effort into my reviews and they represent my honest, hands-on opinion of the product. My hope it they will help you make an informed, educated choice whether or not a product is right for your needs.

I picked up this restorer for our 2014 Ram Promaster camper van. The van has quite of a bit of body panels, wide bumpers and a vinyl hood cover. The majority of the panels are oxidized to varying degrees. The restorer appeared to be quite effective in reducing the appearance of oxidation and evening out the tone across the various panels. It also goes a long way. I was able to treat all the panels, bumpers and the hood cover with about a third of the bottle still remaining.
