We often buy in bulk and shelf life and quality is always as expected. We have great results with thei patina solutions on copper, steel, and bronze. The Rust convertor on my antique studio trucks and forging equipment was nice and thick for a great applications.

I used this when I was cleaning up skid plates, sliders, and my roof rack that have been beaten up.
I used abrasive disks and flap disks to clean the rust down to bare metal and then coated it in this. It is THICK but it spreads out well. I found it best to alternate strokes as you are painting it on. I found one coat left too much uncovered metal and did a second coat as well.
It goes on white but quickly starts to blacken and dries black. I was able to cover the whole skid plate with 2 coats and did not use but 1/4 the bottle yet.
I tried it on some rust with no prep and it looked to be glossy after and was not flaking but I would not use it like this and expect it to hold up long term.
I will be coating mine with bed liner for easy touch ups in the future.

WOW! OMG! I CRIED!
This table was made by brother when he was in a high school shop class for our mother. He was 2 years older than me and he died in the 90s and my mother in the early 2000s. I was looking out my bedroom window one day and I saw this table under a bunch of garbage basically and well I went postal!
I rescued it and was planning on refurbishing it and that was a couple of years ago but more recently I did start sanding and scrubbing some rust off of it but life happens and I had to redirect my time elsewhere and it got put on hold again.
So when I saw this product there was no doubt at all that I would be trying that because one I did not know that anything existed like that and two obvious reason less work LOL.
Now this was not badly rusted everywhere but it was dull and lifeless anyway. I decided to turn the table over and do the bottom parts first leaving the top to be done after the coats were dry after 24 hours. The color you see with the
table upside down below it is not the table it’s where the solution dropped through the table. I think it speaks for itself as to what it’s capable of as those are all after pictures with the exception of the very top because that I took before I finished the table.
It’s a white colored solution not as thick as paint and very thin. It needs to be shaken very well prior to use and it can be applied with several or various tools. The top was in particularly difficult as its hard to get into some of the areas.
I don’t know what happened to the top after I had applied the solution in that area my results were not quite the same as the bottom part. I know that it was my fault however there could be two reasons why it didn’t work (it worked it just wasn’t black when it was cured) either I did not shake it Up well enough or and afterthought when I saw it was, I think there was something that stated that you shouldn’t apply it in certain degrees don’t quote me on that though.
The bottom part that looks gorgeous, I did that in the late evening hours. The top part I did early in the day it was extremely hot. And I almost cried again when I saw what happened because it’s more of a tannish brown color but it’ still took care of the rust LOL. I’m going to try and sand it down and redo it. I plan on painting it as well but you really don’t need to.

Rust Converter doesn’t work any where near like they say it does. I had used paint remover on my iron post columns at my 1959 side porch. Then scraped them and as high pressure washed. The columns did have a little rust in spots. I had decided to use this Rust Converter product. It did not give the iron a nice black finish as described or shown in the advertising. At best there was some blackening and very uneven coloring. Splotchy would be a better way to describe it. Now I still need to paint and have kinda of wasted tremendous amount of time and the price of this product that really didn’t accomplish anything. Not happy with the product I would not recommend to buy this product.
