Picked up this Femryer Car Detailing Brush Set of 5 to use when cleaning our cars. I can’t say for certain if these are actual boar bristles, but they seem like what I’m used to.
There are five brushes in this pack of various sizes which should cover just about any situation. I’ve opted to split the pack up and use some of the brushes for inside the house cleaning, car interior cleaning, and car exterior cleaning. While I don’t like to use brushes on my car’s paint, there are some spots where a brush is the only thing that’ll work. The bristles are firm enough to clean, but soft enough not to cause damage – perfect for using around badges and in the drain channels of the trunk and hood. In the distant past, I used to just buy good-quality paint brushes and wrap the metal with masking tape to keep it from hitting the paint. With these being all plastic, I don’t need to use tape anymore.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the Femryer Car Detailing Brush Set of 5.

The bristles are not super soft. They have just enough abrasive strength that I would not use them on clear surfaces that might scratch. It’s good for getting at tight spaces on interior plastics, wood, leather, fabrics and most exterior surfaces but not on clear screens or gauge clusters with a clear surface. There were bristles that were poorly installed into the handle base. I’m not sure how long these will last with daily use.

Look, if you’ve never detailed your car and you’re a car person or getting into cars, I highly recommend grabbing these brushes along with some other gear and giving it a try. You’ll want some sort of vac to suck up dirt and liquids as you go, and preferably a brush set for a drill. Then you add in these brushes with good cleaning chemicals and you’re set. These are great quality, multiple different sizes, they do the job well, and will hold up for quite a while. You won’t be disappointed after detailing your car yourself and seeing how clean it looks and smells!

These are a soft (ish) brush. They are not overly soft, and definitely not a stiff brush. I don’t quite understand the need for the 5 different sizes as I feel the differences between each one is pretty minimal. I would be fine with the largest and smallest. Everything is plastic (except bristles) which I don’t mind at all and some other brushes I own are very similar (some reviews were negative about the plastic). They also have holes in the handle if you want to hang them from pegboard or something.
I have only used them a couple times so far but have noticed that I am losing bristles – they are left behind on the surface of the car surface and crevices. The bristles are also prone to catching on things which also pulls the bristle out; for example I was brushing around a my auto ‘badge’ on my trunk and several of them were caught on the badge/logo which I had to manually pull off. In the two times I have used the brushes, I probably have lost roughly 20-30 bristles between 2 different brushes doing a pretty thorough detail on both inside and outside of my car. So it was quite a bit of cleaning and I have not lost a ton of bristles. It may be some looser ones working out after the manufacturing process. Of course, if I keep losing bristles the brush will not last. I have generally NOT noticed the same issue with another (more expensive) set that I have.
The value here is pretty exceptional. There are 5 different brushes at a little over a $1 each in total. Quite a deal in my opinion.
They come packaged in a zip lock type bag which I put them back in to keep them clean (as long as they are dry). When initially shipped the bristles are also shrink wrapped to keep their form which I appreciate. A picture is attached with the original packaging.

Not sure why there are 5 different size as they are very close to each other but it is a good deal for $1.20 per brush.
They may not be the best but there’s no way I would pay over $20 for a boars hair brush that my local Chemical Guys wanted for a single brush.
They are black and not the whiter shade sometimes seen. The whiter ones are just bleached for aesthetics.
They are not extremely soft nor too stiff IMHO. They are kind of middle. I already have a softer brush that I use on delicate areas like around my vehicles display. These will be fine for other areas like around the dash, seats and cup holders. Another is labeled for my rims and another for my engine compartment.
Some bristles have come out but I expect that from most brushes at this price point.
Average brushes that I would get again for general purpose cleaning when they get too dirty or worn.
