I assumed that if it will seal truck beds and auto bodies that are exposed to severe storms and temperature extremes, it should work to stop a leak under my sink. I tried replacing parts, but since the plumbing doesn’t line up exactly, the conventional gaskets move around and open a leak. I’m trying this one and so far it’s stopping the leak. Not it’s original application, but if it works, go for it.

Okay so I just tried this Automotive Seam Sealer stuff on my beat-up Toyota and tbh I’m actually super impressed with it?? Like, for how cheap it was compared to the fancy brands, it totally did the job!
I had these annoying rust spots in my wheel wells that were driving me CRAZY, and this stuff stayed exactly where I put it without dripping everywhere (huge win). Fair warning though – it’s thick AF. Thank god they included gloves because this stuff is no joke. My hands are tiny but my boyfriend used them too and said they fit fine.
OMG it’s seriously the stickiest substance I’ve ever touched in my life ?? Like, don’t even think about getting this anywhere near your hair! I accidentally got some on my face and was freaking out. Pro tip: lacquer thinner helps clean it up, but wow that smell had me feeling dizzy for like an hour.
The tube has this weird long pointy tip that’s actually super helpful for getting into tight spots. You can even heat it up with a hair dryer to bend it exactly how you want! Once it dries, it’s basically hard plastic, not that cheap rubbery stuff that peels off after a month.
Random but there was this little wooden ball inside the tube?? Like what even is that for? I ended up giving it to my roommate’s cat who was obsessed with it lol. Oh and heads up – you definitely need a decent sized caulk gun to squeeze this stuff out.
Anyway, for the price I’m totally gonna buy it again. My car’s looking way better and I saved like $50 compared to taking it to a shop. College budget win! ??

I picked up this automotive seam sealer for some bodywork repairs on my truck, and it worked exactly how I needed it to. It laid down smoothly, stuck firmly to both metal and plastic, and sealed up seams without any mess or sagging. It dried fast enough that I could paint over it the same day, which saved me a ton of time. It also held up well through a few rainstorms already, no leaks or peeling. This seam sealer worked great on my E-150 used cargo van. A known issue is the brake light on the back of the roof. It leaked like a sieve, even after trying another sealer. This was easy to apply, though my husband had to squeeze the calking gun since I have no hand strength. We had a hard rain a few days after applying and the van was bone dry on the inside. A win-win!!

My husband has used various seam sealers for difference projects for his cars along with having used it for outside projects that require a long-term solution for protection against the elements. He finds that seam sealers tend to work better than some of the caulking materials that are normally used for protecting a surface from water/insect intrusion from the outside. He tried this particular brand and said it was the worse to apply and it was very hard to get out of the caulk gun. He knows it will serve the purpose of sealing the surface but said trying to apply this brand was very difficult. He would not look at this brand for future projects.

The only way you get any better type of product is to go with two-part type sealer adhesive. This sealer is great and strong for a one-part sealer. White, fairly easy clean up best to just keep the work and end of the tube clean. Worked great for some rear suicide door windows. Drys quick, did the job. Helps to keep the tube a bit warm to help squeeze it out of the tip. Happy with the product. Have a great day!

Used this to seal between a steel trailer frame and wheel fender to prevent rust. The product seems to have adhered well and is a good value for the price.
