I purchased this sometime ago before the 2023 heatwave here in Texas. The temp has climbed upwards of up to 110 degrees this year 115 last year in central TX. This info matters if you plan on using this product in these particular climates. Yes it is a very good product but really only last up 6 weeks in my opinion. If you’re in a cooler climate this may last longer which I don’t know. I am a commuter 25-50 mins on the road everyday in the super dry heat. Tire application is easy, before you gotta make sure the tires are super clean degreased and no dirt on clean rubber. After drying to the touch one application for base coat then your choice of either shine or matte look. I was spectacle at first but I took a count of how long it lasted with a weekly wash no degreaser or acid on tires for maintenance upkeep. after the 5th week it was clear it started to fade away. You could reuse the app to your liking, just expect it to last about 6 weeks in the heat. This product did last longer than Carpro’s Dark Side which is like 1-2 weeks lasting in Texas heat. I hope this information helps you all in expectations in hot weather.

Modern cars have a lot of plastic trim. All cars have tires. Having multiple products to achieve a decent looking trim only to have it wear off in a week. Tire shine that never dries and slings all over the side of your car.
Blak, Satn, and Gloz are the answer to keep trim looking sharp and tires looking fantastic for months. Application was simple. I took my time and it was very easy to achieve what I was looking for after one coat. I applied Blak to my trim, and Blak and Gloz to my tires. It’s been 4 months and 3,900 miles and it looks like I just applied it. Very easy to maintain. I have so much left over- I can’t wait to use it on my family’s cars.

Unbelievable Product !! . I saw a video on you tube on rejuvenating your golf cart rubber & trim. I just happened to have mine apart with the intentions of painting the body panels but when I saw this I figured why not clean up the whole cart. Worth every penny , can’t believe the difference. It looks slick & shiny but is completely dry & not sticky or tacky like other silicone based products. Good preparation of surfaces is key as you need to remove all residues & grease. I used 50/50 ammonia & water. Then applied product. Check out my photos.

The Blak in this set is AWESOME!!! We have a 2012 Honda CRV. The black trim had turned a light grey. The first coat of the Blak made a dramatic difference! But, the fading of the trim was quite severe, so required several coats to get a uniform look all over. But, it is so easy to apply, it only took less than 10 minutes per side, per coat. A little bit goes a long way too. After applying 4 coats to each side (not including the bumpers), I only used about 1/10 of the 16 oz bottle. I applied 2 coats of the Satn to finish it off, and the final result is nothing short of amazing! Looks like a new car now!

I work in an auto shop and do detailing and body work, I encounter cars from the 1990s early 2000s on a daily basis and sometimes MUCH older.
I decided to take some of this “blak” and “gloz” to my shop and experiment on the junkers we have in the back where we tow and let rot.
I have access to PLENTY of old faded cars with trim, bumpers, dashboards that were once nice and black but sadly heavily greyed.
With the heavily faded plastics you don’t really need to “de-grease” or super clean because its damn BONE DRY from the elements, but i still gave it a little windex cleaning with paper towel. (notice in my video with the OLD tire, it was so dry, it didnt need to be cleaned)
Windex in the end didnt appear to have enough cutting power to remove all the vinylex saturation the past couple years so my first application had a slight lack of adhesion, but it wasnt the horror story you read in the negative reviews here. Still as a perfectionist, i decided to strip it off and re do it….very easily.
50/50 Ammonia and water, scour pad, comes right off. Then once dry, i reapplied…the results were even better.
it looks amazing quite honestly and was very glossy. I noticed the first application was quickly drank up and absorbed. the next two coats began filling in those tiny microscopic cracks in the rubber and plastic…finally the third application is where i began to notice the gloss and uniform brand new looking appearance..it was also no longer gritty but super smooth to the touch.
for an 84 chevette with A LOT of faded plastic no longer black but grey:
the headlight shrouds, grill, and black trim around the windows and dash, look brand new now upon close examination. it is pretty much impossible to see it is aged, you would honestly believe they were new parts freshly ordered off ebay, and then installed onto the car.
if i had to explain it best, i would tell you that it dries with a feeling of automotive clear coat, as if you sprayed your plastic and let it harden.
If you scratch it VERY hard with your fingernail,
you can somewhat chip it off, but it takes a massive amount of effort to really do it noticeable. I cant imagine how stupid someone would be to intentionally keep ripping their fingernail against the vehicle to see how well it handles.
Considering how easy this stuff is to just swab on…it could be touched up in seconds anyway.
on the slightly newer 2003 suzuki aerio i did the super faded windshield wiper shroud….1 coat of blak was honestly enough, but i put 2 and then 1 coat of gloz, absolutely brand new looking. I had no doubts after seeing what the 84 looked like.
I did all the door trim, and it looks, factory new.
I purposely took this to my shop to see if my boss would invest some larger containers to use for when we turn cars as any of you know, a great detail job can make a huge difference in selling cars. He is sold on it after seeing the final results on his 2000 f150, once i showed him what it could do, He grabbed the bottle and asked for the web address.
we have cars sitting for sale upwards of a few months usually, and having to detail each one every 3 weeks due to rain and sun washing off those “greasy products” gets old fast. Even the almighty 303 protectant and vinylex don’t seem to hold their shine after a month.
not having to detail as much will save labor time, and my back….
If Renew protect lasts half as long as it claims, then this could be one of the sweetest products currently on the market.
So far i am enjoying this product personally but if things change I will adjust my review to show my results over time.
I Recommend this product as it seems light years ahead of anything else i have ever used (Vinylex, 303 etc etc) and seems to be very durable hard shell coat.
one final note: if you have used greasy or silicone based products like Armor all or comparable sprays, i have to take a time out right now to tell you that you must do a VERY thorough cleaning before you apply this product as the oils will repel it and cause some lack of adhesion and streaking. Clean it very well and you should not have any trouble. ALSO do NOT apply this in temps under 45 degrees. I would recommend warmer weather 60 and up.
I think i mention this THREE TIMES in my video…please heed my warning I know i sound like a broken record about “prep” but i found out it must be done so you don’t have to, “find out”

The product looks nice at first, no where near the gloss of some products, but it looks nice. Unfortunately the durability and longevity claims are no where near legit. After thoroughly cleaning and prepping the tires, we applied two coats of gloz. After about a week there is a noticeable drop off in appearance, after two weeks you can start to see it’s worn off in spots giving a slightly splotchy appearance. If this were sold as a regular tire dressing it would likely dominate, however selling it as a once a year application feels like a serious stretch and frankly I don’t see anyway it’s possible.

After 3 weeks it’s completely worn off and the tires are looking worse than they did before applying the product. I would not recommend buying this product. And I would not recommend giving a company that makes wild claims and can’t even come close to backing those claims up your money. They are FOS.
