This product has the same quality as the original. I had both to compare to and there is no difference in the product that came with my car and this one. An error on my part ruined the original so this product replaced it without fail. Would buy again for sure.

Exact fit for the positive terminal connector in a 2005 Corolla LE. At first I was reluctant to spend $20 on this, when a generic one was only a few dollars at the auto parts store. But when I realized there is no slack in the original positive cable, cutting and splicing it with a generic connector would be to short to connect to the battery terminal. This was super easy to install, for all you need to do is unscrew the original, corroded one (make sure to keep it bolted in for easier removal) and bolt this new one in. Make sure to remove the negative terminal first before doing the work. I’ve notice a faster start with this replacement. Highly recommended!

Due to poor machining on the bolt threads, I was unable to put the nut on the battery cable end. No matter which size nut I used or how much lubricant I used the nut would not tighten around the bolt. I could get the nut to turn a few times and then it would just get stuck. It could only come down to poor machining on the threads. I did try different nuts just to see, but it was impossible for the nut to turn freely. I would stay away from this part. Had a battery terminal similar to this one in the past and that one worked just fine. Must be a quality control issue. I bought this to replace the one on my 2007 Toyota Corolla.

I have posted two photos. One photo is an actual OE Toyota battery terminal from the Toyota dealer parts counter. The label reads “Terminal Assembly”. The second photo is this battery terminal from Eds Auto Power Parts sold here on Ham-a-zon, which I ordered and received. That label reads ‘Positive Battery Terminal”, and has the part number highlighted in yellow. In comparison of the two products, they appear to be exactly the same, including the notches on the inside diameter which secures to the battery post. Also, in the Toyota parts counter photo you can see at the top that there is a “B2” with a triangle shape under it. The Ed’s Auto Power Parts has the same thing (for some reason the B2 isn’t clear in the photo, but it is indeed there, along with the triangle which you can clearly see). The finish looks the same along with everything else. There are two things, though, that make me wonder about this terminal which claims to be a genuine Toyota part. If it’s a genuine Toyota part, why doesn’t it have the exact Toyota sticker with exact same bar code as seen in the first photo? Sorry, my Toyota photo is cut off, but it does show “Toyota Motor Corporation”, plus some other info, including where it’s made. The Toyota dealer parts guy says mine is not a Toyota part because the sticker/bag is different. Also, the genuine Toyota part does not come with a nut with integrated washer, but this terminal from Eds Auto Power Parts does have this extra nut/washer. So we see that there are two differences between this part and what is available at your local Toyota dealership parts counter. I am open to Eds Power Parts to provide a logical explanation for this, since the terminal otherwise does appear to be the same as OE (perhaps it’s a replica?). The shipping was very fast, btw.
