I bought this in 2015 and continue to use it every day to swipe down my shower. Really reduces buildup on walls and floors. Keeps shower looking clean longer.
I’ve used it to clean windows in the car and around the house inside and outside but it lives in my shower.
Well worth the price, I would buy again if I needed another one for a new location but this one is still like new.

This water blade is a wonderful alternative to the more expensive “Original California Water Blade” listed here The Original California Jelly Blade 2010 Version.
Now before I got this product, I have been using an older model of the Original California Water Blade (It has a purple-ish handle and was mainly sold by Costco). Anyhow, that is what I am mainly comparing this Pilot Water Blade product to. And because it is an automotive product, I will review it as is for its intended use.
Here are my pro(s) and con(s):
Pro(s):
– Inexpensive
– Good solid handle
– Perfect for window drying
– Typically streak free
– Nice quality
– Easy and fun to use
– Relatively flat making it easy to store
Con(s):
– The water blade (not including the handle) is approximately 1″ shorter (in height not width) than the Original California Water Blade (now this is a con in my view because this makes the water blade seem stiffer when in reality it holds about the same flexibility as the Original California Water Blade and the stiffness is an issue because when I wipe my cars down, the water blade does not flex enough to mold/reach certain areas of the car (e.g., where the hood/bonnet meets the front fender of the car; around the trunk/boot area) thus making these certain areas harder to wipe down dry
Other note(s):
– The water blade I received had a RED handle instead of a yellow handle (not a problem for me, but the sellers should show what they are selling)
Recommendation(s)/Suggestion(s):
– Overall while washing your car, keep it out of the sun’s light (this prevents hard water spots from forming and also keeps tiny debris moist to wash away easier)
– Use car specific soap/washing formula
– Dry car immediately (first using the water blade, then using a micro fiber cloth to soak up the hard areas) after washing
– Wax the car immediately with a micro fiber cloth and a desired waxing product
– Also can use this water blade to wipe down the insides of your shower walls if needed to be dried
So with that, I gave it a 4/5 stars because it could have been better if they used more silicon to add to the blade’s height.

I had a California waterblade originally. I used to detail cars for Cadillac, Corvette, Chevy, and Subaru at different times. I loved this when the paint was new and no issues. To me the blade is plenty wide but not long enough. It does cut drying time and chamois time in more than half. Would recommend but would like the minor improvement. Also if you don’t buy this, at least look for one that has a T at the end, that is the part that matters. Without it, you are just spreading water. My friend bought one like that and it was a joke.

I recently purchased a new car and was adamant about taking the best possible care of my new toy. I was a beach towel user for many years but have heard of the damage this does to paint jobs. Purchasing this product was a great investment since it gets rid of the water with ease. Im not sure how this holds up against the California water jelly blade (or whatever its called). But this product works wonders for me. The one downfall i will mention and i believe others have as well is that it is not the best on curved areas. windows and flat areas no problem but when it came to the curves on the car i had to slow down the “swipe” and get the blade to hug the countours of the car and sometimes had to do it twice as it didnt get it all the first time around. FAirly minor downfall to me especially from using regular bath towels that got soakd too fast and a lot of times left lint on the car.

My favorite water blade. Soft silicone blade helps dry your car fast. More handy than any squeegee, because this is better than a squeegee. Extra flexibility helps wipe water away fast and is gentle on your car paint. Hard handle makes it easier to control than full silicone ones.
I prefer this brand over others because of the shape of the handle.
Only downside to this particular one is the size. I have one that is 13″ and this one being 11″ is a bit on the smaller side and takes more wipes to dry the car.
This beats having a shamee. Absolutely the best way to dry your car.
Very handy for wiping away morning window fog also

(mine is the Pilot CC-2010 11″ water blade)
I bought this for use while applying paint protection film to help rinse/decontaminate the surface. I found that it’s also great if you like to dry your vehicle after washing to avoid water spots. Using this tool quickly removes the bulk of the standing water so you use only a fraction of the towels/cloths to wipe completely dry. Ingenious but simple design.

This blade works extremely well in wiping off the majority of water from the surface of a car after a wash. However, you must be sure you wash your car very thoroughly and have no particles of dirt or anything else on the car. If there is anything left on the car, you better bet this will scratch your car big time. I take extreme care when washing my car and have never had an issue with any scratches. I follow up the blade with a microfiber waffle weave towel to finish drying the car (listed below).
If you’re the type of person who does quick washes and doesn’t take care to wash your car very well, I suggest you don’t use this blade, as it will scratch your car. Otherwise, it works great! Greatly reduces the amount of drying time required!
