They seem stout. The front strap is not an exact fit. This may be my fault , as i looked for the straps for a 2008 , this was the recommendation , and i ordered it. I also ordered the recommended bolts, oops they were for a chevy. Double check the fitments. Also , the straps did not come with a “rubber” liner between the tank and straps. it did not say it would , but i recommend it.

Due to all the misinformation out there, I want to let prospective buyers know a few things. Those of you that have a truck like mine, which is a 2006 F350 crewcab shortbed 6.8 ft 4×4 diesel. 2005 to 2007 likely will be the same. The rear strap will be a direct bolt in. You may need to do a slight bend to line up the hole, but not a big deal. No modifications will be necessary to this strap. The front strap, however, is a different story. You will have to rebound the corner which attaches to the body next to the driveshaft to extend that curve out a little bit. I flatten the corner with a press and revent it in a vice. Was not a real big deal. The factory strap does not have a hinge where it attaches to the frame. This one does and it will fit, although you may have to bend the hinge part just a hair to make things a little straighter. Transfer over the nut clip to the new strap and it will work. The problem is the other side next to the driveshaft. The new strap is too long and therefore needs to be shortened and re-bent as well as re-drilled offset to fit where the original one connected to the body. I flattened the original band where the bolt goes with a press and then placed a mark using the old strap as a template where I wanted the new bend to be. I put the new strap in a vice lined up for the mark I made, and I heated it up with a mapp gas torch and hammered it over to get the correct bend at right location. It may have been easier just to cut the thing off and weld it back on where you needed it, but I tried the bending first and it did work. I did have to redraw a couple of the spot welds where the metal is doubled up and re-welded it to the main strap. Overall, it was a great big hassle that you don’t really want to deal with after paying 50 bucks. I wasn’t really sure with all the reviews being all over the board so that is the reason why I purchased this find out for myself. Now I’m letting you all know. The back ones fine the front one needs severe modification to hold the tank properly.
After all this, if you decide to just use them as is, you might be able to make the front one work it’s just gonna hang the tank a couple inches lower in the front. I did not try that so I’m not entirely sure the bolt hole on the driveshaft side is the same as the factory hole is offset in the bracket a bit. It’s just going to hang the tank lower without modification.

Exact fit for 2006 F350. Lined right up. Took 5 minutes to replace. Used existing hardware. Absolutely no issues. Website said that it didn’t fit an 2006 F350 but it does. And it was $100 cheaper than Ford’s site and $35 cheaper than the local parts store.

Do not usually write reviews. I have a 1999 f350 standard cab, long box with the V10. Site said this would not fit, wrong it was the perfect fit. I had narrowed the straps down to 2 or 3 different ones. What I did was match end of straps up with mine and took a chance. I needed both straps to have a hinge where it bolts to outer frame rail. Looked at the dorman ones too, but there length description were completely inaccurate.

Worked perfect for my 1999 F250. The only reason I gave 1 star for ease of installation is because it was an old pickup and things were rusted which is kind of unfair for the rating. Luckily I had the right specialty tools for the job.
