This is the MTD-specified replacement part. It’s the third one on my 2-year-old lawn tractor. The first broke in half, the second separated in the throttle mechanism. I bought this overpriced MTD junk because I needed the tractor for my lawn. I’m in the process of building a replacement out of much cheaper, but better built, generic parts. No rap on the supplier, MTD needs to do a better job.

I used this cable as a direct replacement for my craftsman t240 riding mower. It is the factory part and would be nice if the seller would list it for craftsman to make the search to find it easier. Very simple to replace.

Ordered for my cub cadet riding mower and it fit like a glove. All you have to do is pop out old throttle then unscrew cable by carburetor and your done.
