  • Heavy Duty Electromagnetic Relay: Remote battery disconnect switch rated current: 300A, rated voltage: 12V, instantaneous current: 1000A,standby current: 1A.
  • Magnetic Latching Function: This kill switch for car uses a new type of relay that controls circuit disconnection by magnetic principle, with a standby current of 1A, which is more energy-saving.
  • Unique Design: The contacts are made of silver alloy, which has strong conductivity and high sensitivity. Compared to copper contacts, it has a higher melting point and is more resistant to oxidation. Prevent the product from gradually melting and deforming due to high temperature caused by contact points.
  • Convenience and Anti-Theft: This car battery disconnect switch comes with two paired wireless remote fobs, which can be controlled within 328FT.It will not only prevent the battery from being draining, but also reduces the risk of theft occurs.
  • Widely used:this Remote Control Electromagnetic Battery Switch Disconnect for automotive, truck, RV, travel trailer, camping vehicle, boat, agricultural vehicle Auto off-road jeep, mechanical equipment, excavators, loaders, etc. and other engine applications with 12 volt batteries.
  • 【NOTE】:Universal for DC 12V Power System.Idea for different vehicle – 12V relay match 12V Electromagnetic ,24V relay match 24V Electromagnetic.

I love gadgets and gizmos. I’ve always been into them, ever since I was a kid. I actively have several DIY electrical projects underway, most involving my Jeep. I own an older Jeep Wrangler, and not only is it my favorite possession, it’s also a platform for many other toys. I have LED pods, light strips, whip lights, a big audio system, just all sorts of things installed. I’m always looking for ways to upgrade my setup.

I do a lot of work on my setup, so I have to disconnect and reconnect the power pretty often. I have a circuit breaker that I use to quickly disconnect my accessory power, but that still requires me to pop the hood. I wanted an easier solution, so when I saw this disconnect I had to try it.

This is essentially a big relay with a remote switch. I installed it between my vehicle battery and the power line that feeds the distribution block from which all of my accessories pull power. I can use the remote to quickly disconnect and reconnect power. Hit the off button, now I can move terminals around on my distribution block, press the on button, test.

This is a really cool upgrade. It allows me to easily disconnect and reconnect power to my accessories while working on them without having to pop the hood. For the price, it’s a steal. It’s also the highest rated for amp of any disconnect I’ve seen, a full 300 amps continuous.

Installation was easier than I expected and the remotes work well. For my purpose I am using this with my Jeep so that I can park for an extended period of time without worrying about my power draining while I am out camping in the mountains. I did have to buy an extra cable to make it work but again installation was really easy. Distance wise the remote seems to work pretty well but I just keep them in the vehicle so it wouldn’t be an issue either way.

This switch is heavy duty and well made. I have a fifteen year old vehicle that has a small current leak that I have been unable to find. The battery will go dead in about a week. I installed this disconnect switch and when I park the vehicle overnight I simply press the remote to disconnect the battery which keeps the battery from discharging. Not the best solution but one that works. The switch can handle 300 amps and there is a fairly audible click when the connection is broken or made. You can hear the switch working! The switch comes with two remotes that have a range of about 100 yards. This switch also acts as a theft deterrent. The switch is easy to install and I hid my switch so it could not be easily seen.

I got tired of finding a dead battery when I put my RV into storage. I needed a remote kill switch that could handle to current of a reactive load (Inverter) if that load included a compressor starting up. The combination of requirements lead me to this monster of a remote control relay.

A 300A rating may seem overkill but that 300A rating is for a continuous resistive load. When you have a reactive load you have to significantly derate. If you want a long life you have to derate more. The key number is how ofter might you open the contacts when the high current is present. If that is “Only when the kids get the remote” then one time seems enough if you catch them. I when with 5 times large than I though I would ever need. A 100A might have been as good for me.

This Battery Power Switch was larger than I thought. I could not put it anywhere near the battery but I had to mount it just inside the travel trailer nearest the battery and close to the inverter. I had to run several lines over 4 feet to the battery. Because the switch has to be on the negative side of the battery I was adding a significant length to the connection from the battery to the chassis. I had to change the battery negative wire to a much larger gauge wire to keep the same voltage drop in the system.

Operation was very easy. I had to remember to turn everything off before operating the kill switch in order to save switch life. Having two remotes helps that problem of losing a remote. The remotes are small but seem very durable.

Overall, this relay seemed better than expected and I think the price is good for the value.

Solenoid and control module being built together makes it easier to mount. The unit was larger than expected. Easily mounts and connections are straight forward. Simple complete battery isolation at the click of a button.

This very heavy duty cutoff switch handles a lot of amperage. It’s a great too to prevent theft, or just preserve your battery. Easy install once you find a good location. Simply disconnect your existing positive lead from your battery and connect it to this switch, connector 1. Then, run a short cable from this switch, connector 2, to your battery. Done!
    I recommend this switch.

Hooked it up and was working great. Took a ride in my keep and when I got home it wouldn’t shut off. The remotes wouldn’t turn it off and when I turned off the ignition it still was on. I had to disconnect the negative battery to turn it off

  8. Trippy

Good quality extremely heavy duty shut down and engage solenoid. I am using it to shut down the extra operation systems on my accessible handicap van so the battery will not draw down when it is parked for an extended period. It has very little draw when off for the remote, one thing to note is that when energized it does pull more power so if left on when vehicle is parked it will contribute to the OEM battery draw.
