I have no complaints, it’s a CR 2032, that’s what I needed, and now The key fob works. And if you’re unsure what battery your key fob takes, you can always go to your local auto parts, they’re usually helpful with that.

It’s a 2032 battery in a standard size and when I installed in a key fob, it worked just fine. Two things about this and why there’s lower stars: first: there’s no date code on the package, so I have no idea if what I received was fresh or not, so a bit of a gamble how long this will last. Second: pricey for a no name battery

My 2020 Accord Touring has a nice feature where the driver’s seat positions itself automatically to one of the two driver’s memory settings you enter. You can change it by pressing the little button on the driver’s side door, unlocking the car with the remote, unlocking with your hand on the door handle, or opening the door while possessing the corresponding remote fob. So, if you have set a memory setting for driver one and use remote fob number one it will make this and other adjustments for you automatically. The same setup for remote fob number two of course. I have the car setup so that I am number one and my daughter, who uses the car when she visits, as number two.
I got in the car one day and there was a notification that the remote battery level was low and I needed to hold it close to the start push button to start the car. No problem I thought, I’ll just use the other (number 2) remote key fob. The next morning I opened the door and the seat was much closer to the steering wheel. I adjusted the seat and then notice the programmable dash display was different. What happened to my digital tachometer display and why is the heads up display showing different data? I realized the no. 2 remote had reset the settings to the ones my daughter had saved. No problem, I’ll just press the little no. 1 button on the door and wait an eternity for the seat to creep back into the same position every time – when it’s raining, or I just ran into the store to pick up something quickly, etc.
I knew I needed to fix this situation. A Google search showed me that it is very easy to replace the battery in the key fob, without going to the dealership, and this is one is the type of battery needed for my car. The battery comes sealed in a ziplock sort of bag and then a child resistant package as well. Although, I believe a persistent child could easily remover the battery from the package, so the sealed ziplock bag adds a bit more reassurance your child will be safe. It also includes a helpful card for you to receive a replacement battery if you ordered the wrong one and a one year warranty guarantee. the battery should be 3 Volts and my multimeter confirmed it was 3.315 which is within range and now that it is installed in remote fob number one I no longer need to hassle with pushing the little door button and waiting for the seat and other settings. It is nice to eliminate at least one of life’s little problems some days.
