Couldn’t be more simple to install, hardest part was peeling the backing off the double sided tape that holds it onto the fuel door! Better instructions than something this simple deserves! Piece has tabs that slip into a slot on the inside of the fuel door, you can’t get it wrong. And, the fuel cap threads actually snap into the holder, it doesn’t just sit loosely in it. Trucks should come from Ford with this sort of thing built in.

This holder nicely supports the cap, and isn’t the cheaper/rougher 3D-print quality some people are selling. On the other hand, the little notches and flange part completely failed to fit into the notches on my 2024 F-250 XLT. I ended up taking a mini cut-off tool and cutting it off, cleaned up the edges, and then added heavy-duty 3M grey tape all around the back. It is now stuck on firmly despite the design, and looks good. Honestly, why they included the flange at all is beyond me – they should’ve just made it rectangular and slapped some extra tape on the back.
If I have to re-engineer some else’s product just to make it work as originally intended, you’re getting no more than 3 stars.

I noticed that many other people had fitment issues. On my 21 F250 diesel, this was as easy to install as : clean, peel, stick. Maybe they changed the tooling? Maybe it only fits diesels? I don’t know, but it perfectly fit the slots already in the fuel door cover.
It’s nice to have a spot to keep the fuel cap out of the way.

I paid the extra money for this specific diesel cap holder as it was supposed to fit in the factory grooves of the 2023 Ford F-350 gas door, as you can see in the video it doesn’t fit.

This concept is super simple and truthfully, my 2024 F250 does need something like this in the filler door to hold the cap. However, this does not fit accurately at all. The tabs are supposed to fit within the existing slots on the door to help keep it in place along with the 3M type tape on the larger surface. This is not made correctly and thusly one of the tabs on this device bent and broke in order for me to fit it and thusly, it does not lay completely flat. I have it mounted, but I doubt that they used quality 3M tape if the design is incorrect and thusly, this may come detached shortly. Overall, this needs work. Hope that helps you today.

Nifty little accessory and handy to place your cap in. However, I had to modify it. There are some molded in splines, 3, that are supposed to line up with some grooves cut in the fuel cap door, well, they don’t. Not a big deal for me, pulled out the grinder and had one of the splines zipped off in 5 seconds, but other people may find it frustrating. I wiped the area down with alcohol, pulled off the backing on the double stick tape on the cap holder, lined it up and stuck it. It works.
But for the money they are asking… not sure I would.

Out fuel cap tether broke along time ago. It’s nice having a place to put it that doesn’t place it at risk of being rained during rains or getting excess debris on it from placing it on the bed rail. Adhesive quality and durability will be tested in the California summer but in spring so far it’s great

The adhesive tape didn’t hold even after using alcohol wipe. Even on a brand new truck so oil and fuel wasn’t an issue. The grooved portion that should have fit on the fuel door didn’t work either.
