Without even plugging it in the positive alligator clip created a big spark. I always connect the clips to the battery terminal before plugging in my chargers to prevent this. Other than that this charger has been working well to charge up my larger 12v 200ah lifepo4 batteries.

It charged my 2 AGM batteries good in my ram 2500 Cummins truck @ 25 amps. The bad is short power cord only 40 inches long , This can be replace with a longer one. Battery leads a decent length.

Of course one week after the date I can return this, it catches on fire! So glad I did not leave it over night for a trickle charge, that would have been bad. I maybe used this 3-4 times before this. Hooked it up to a weak battery and about 30 seconds later it was up in smoke and flame. Not safe, do not purchase. Would be great if someone would contact me about this. I don’t think it’s crazy to think I could get more than a month and a handful of uses out of a new charger.

After reading this review the supplier immediately sent me out another charger. So far it is working well. Great customer service.

When you connect the clips from this charger to a battery, it creates a spark, even before the charger is plugged into A/C. That is very bad because a car battery produces hydrogen gas, which is easily ignited by a spark. The battery may explode and spill acid on you. The charger should not complete the circuit to the battery until it is energized with A/C current. I have owned several chargers and they all have operated correctly, not like this one.
Update: Cut the negative wire halfway between the charger and the battery clip. Install an inline switch. Make sure the switch is turned off when connecting to the battery. Update#2: Added a star for good customer service. The representative tried hard to solve the problem, but was advised by their engineer that to prevent a spark, the charger should be plugged into AC before connecting to the battery. A product video was changed to show that bad advice. Please DO NOT DO THAT. You are likely to get an even bigger spark, since the potential at the clips is 17.2 volts when the AC is connected. Check other brands of chargers sold on Amazon. You will see that they all say to connect the battery clips first. This product needs to be recalled and fixed.

I tried to use it to repair a skid steer battery, but it was too far gone. It did put a surface charge on the battery, but it had no capacity. The boost function was not enough either. I don’t blame the charger because I couldn’t jump start the skid steer with my truck or tractor either. The battery was that bad. The only thing that would start it was a VTOMAN jump pack. Once it started, I was able to lift the arms and replace the battery. I have an old Dodge Grand Caravan that I only drive one week a year. The charger was able to bring that battery back for a week’s worth of driving.

I really like the size of this all-in-one battery charger, maintainer, repair, desulfator, and booster. There does not seem a scenario where this device cannot be of service.
My test was on an old battery that was removed from my SUV this year. The battery, from what I have gathered, was not able to be charged. This is why I replaced it. It would not hold a charge, period. I figured I would try this device on the this battery with zero hopes. The charger went through a series of tests and desulfated the battery. After this, it began charging. It was slow to charge and I left it overnight. It was full by the next morning, to my surprise.
This device may have prevented me from needing to purchase a new battery, if I had it when making this decision to try to fix or replace my car battery. Now, my experience may not be the same experience of other users. I can only report my experiences using the product. I am happy to have this on hand for the next time I need to make this decision.
The BOOSTER feature is what caught my attention when I decided to order. This is quite handy when your vehicle will not start in your driveway, and you cannot get someone to provide a boost. This unit has a feature that allows for you to boost your vehicle without needing a second vehicle to pull from. You plug in this charger and select ‘booster’ mode. The device will ramp up for 200secs and afterwards, you can try to start your car. It needs to be noted, that you do need a power source to draw from, as this unit does not have a built in internal battery to pull from so have an idea where your closest 120V is in your garage.
All in all, this is a really handy tool to have around for when your batteries decide to die, or better yet, to maintain your batteries all year round to ensure their peak performance. The quality of this unit is commendable and it seems well made. The clips are not top quality, but they are easy to use and they work well. The value is really decent with this unit, and I think the cost reflects the features included and build quality. Keep the box for easy storage, or you can use the cord management on the unit to keep the cord and cables orderly.
I recommend this product to vehicle owners that have a vehicle over 3 years old. Batteries tend to start to show age around this time. Also, I recommend this to people that do not drive their vehicles enough to charge the battery through regular consistent use. This unit could help maintain your battery without the need to drive a lot.

Got this to have on hand. Then funnily enough, we killed the battery by forgetting the running lights…..instead of having to call family for a boost, we boosted ourselves! It worked perfectly and we were up and running in minutes. So convenient! Husband is super happy lol
