Broke apart after a few months of use and almost broke out my rear window. Save yourself some trouble and go to AutoZone and buy some from there. They are about $12 a piece and are made in USA. I used those on my other JEEP Cherokee and they have lasted years and are still working great. Had to replace these the with those as well.

These are easy to install and they hold up the rear door with great strength…
there are some weak struts out there that barely hold the lift up and they don’t last long – beware.
But these ones have been on several months now and they are just as strong as when I installed them!
Great price, great product.

I live in the interior of Alaska where it can get to extreme negative temperatures in the winter time which will cause your shocks to collapse or give out on your rear hatch. These went into the hatch of my 2001 Jeep Cherokee and have lasted me throughout the toughest part of winter even though -40° F the struts pushed the door open wide above my head with ease and no issues. Easy as can be replacement. Proffered to be done with two people so one can hold the door open while another replaces the struts. Otherwise a broomstick or such works great. All in all, great struts st an affordable price. Would highly reccomend the buy.

These struts are great and if you’re used to worn out originals, watch out when you open the rear hatch to test it out because it’s coming for your face.
Four stars for longevity because after a few months they’re starting to moan on the way down, so there’s definitely some extra friction going on, but I would definitely buy these again.

They were easy to install and work great, thus far. I hope they last. Thank you, Amazon!
