I got this to replace the cap that wouldn’t click anymore. This one binds up on the retaining strap when tightening. The “click” is barely audible and hardly felt. Once it tightens, or just stops turning. I should have just stayed worth the factory original.

My 2013 Chevrolet Silverado check engine light started coming on intermittently. I went to AutoZone, and they used their code scanner to diagnose the problem. They said the code indicated a small EVAP leak, usually caused by a loose or faulty gas cap.
This gas cap matched the OEM cap and included the tether to prevent it from getting lost. Once I installed the new cap and drove around for a few days, the check engine light turned off and stayed off. Problem solved.
My overall experience with this replacement gas cap has been excellent. I have had no problems, and I wholeheartedly recommend it without reservations.
Note: The yellow cap indicates that the vehicle is capable of using E85 gasoline, also known as a flex-fuel vehicle. Make sure your vehicle is flex-fuel capable before installing it. Otherwise, someone could accidentally put the wrong fuel in your vehicle.
