The module did not work. Light was on steady and did not flash at any combination off adjustment settings. Returned and asked for replacement.
Replacement arrived on time and works exactly as advertised. Installed easily and easily adjustable. Very pleased with the replacement unit. Installed in a 1995 Mits 3000GT for center brake light. Set for four quick flashes and steady on.

It arrived fast, installed in 2022 Jeep Compass. With the engine off, It works perfect, with the engine running, It will not flash, only solid?? Great product if Im sitting still with the engine off..

Installed on my Kawasaki street bike. At first I was disappointed when adjusting the potentiometers finding that no matter where they were positioned there was a 4 second delay before the brake light lit and flashed. I thought that might be a problem, but realized that when making adjustments, keep the brake engaged and the range of adjustment becomes very sensitive and worked very well allowing me to adjust very easily with no more delay.
As far as installation goes, it is pretty straight forward if you are circuit savvy. for inexperienced it is still easy but the instructions are not very clear and are only geared for install on cars not bikes. For a bike install, there are usually three wires coming from brake light module. This is the same for both incandescent and LED setups. One is ground/earth, the second is constant 12v on, and the third is brake switch 12v on/off. You will only be using two wires for install, the ground and the brake switch wire. The constant on will not be touched. Figuring out which one is which is pretty simple, either by trial and error, a voltmeter, or a wiring diagram from the manufacturer.
Here are some common wire colors/destinations for most bikes. Each bike manufacturer may vary with colors but they are mostly using common colors
1) Solid black/black w/ yellow stripe–ground/earth
2) Solid red–constant 12v on
3) Solid blue/blue w/ red stripe–brake light switch
There are three wires coming out of the unit, setup a little differently than most other brands. A black, red and a white. White is ground and black/red are power. Find the brake switch wire and cut it. The black wire attaches to the wire coming from the tail light and the red wire attaches to the wire coming from the bike. And obviously the white wire attaches to ground. You do not have to cut the ground, simply strip away the insulation. I highly recommend soldering the joints so they do not come loose and you will be losing your brakes all together

Had someone almost rear end me because they weren’t paying attention so I decided to get a flasher. I only wanted my 3rd brake like to flash so I didn’t want to get the bulbs and a lot of the other flashers have a really long pattern which I don’t like. With this one you can adjust the length and frequency of the flashing to get exactly how fast and how many flashes you want. I went with 3 rapid flashes but I might bump it up to 4.
It feels like a pretty good quality device for what it is and wasn’t terribly expensive. It was pretty easy to install just had to splice it in behind my tail light since my 3rd brake like is on my trunk and I didn’t want it to rattle too much in there with the subs. Overall happy with my purchase and I’ll definitely update if ends up going out or anything.

Installed it two weeks ago and so far it’s working as designed. The easiest way to adjust the settings is using a spare 12v LED light (tail light or side light, etc.) and battery or battery charger.
A word of safety… should only be used for the high mount 3rd brake light and NOT the vehicle brakes light for safety reasons. In the event the flasher fails, it will leave you without brake lights and risk of a rear end collision.
Should be installed with a separate 2 amp in-line fuse. Again, if the flash shorts out it doesn’t disable the vehicle brake lights. This should be stated in the flasher installation instructions.
My only complaint is the wiring color code is messed up. Negative (-) wire is white for some reason… should be Black (-), Red +12V from brake circuit, and White flasher output to light.
EDIT: 07/22/22: Failed in 11 months. This why I said it should be only installed on vehicle 3rd high brake light.

I purchased this in 2016 then installed it. It worked so well I put it on my wife’s car and my new car. It works great! After 8 years being installed in the hottest part in my truck roof above the headliner driving my third brake light, it’s still working! “LEO’s don’t like tail lights flashing in my state”
Since its hard to adjust when it’s installed, I would say to people, hook it up to a battery first using a test light. You can verify the operation and adjust the two pots for exactly the number of flashes and the pulse time width you want. That way if you can’t get it working you haven’t cut any wires in your vehicle.
I changed out the bulbs to LED’s and it works as well but, I needed to install a resistor on the output to ground to fake the truck out into thinking that it’s still using incandescent bulbs. I think it was a 6 ohm 5 watt resistor, but calculate it out yourself using ohm’s law.
Make sure you understand the wiring and operation” BEFORE ” you install it! I suspect that may be why some units “don’t work” Vehicle wiring has helped me get gray hair “before I lost it”.
Since it’s in a vehicle, don’t use electrical tape!!! Use insulated crimp connectors and you can back it up with heat shrink or self vulcanizing silicone tape. It’s just to hot in vehicles to do it another way.
