All you can hope for in a replacement part is that it works like the OEM part. This does and during installation the only difference is the original fitment of a rubber cover was nor identical to the OEM fit. This did nothing to delay the install and the tractor has over 8 hours of heavy use with the new part….works as expected

I tried to install this starter and couldn’t get it seated in position. Took it aback out and measure the OD and it measured 3.500″, the starter I am replacing measures 3.493″. I really need the machine, so I filed the OD down to 3.493″. Took about an hour from start to finish after I bought a new file to do the work. Going to install now, hope everything else works with this starter.
The manufacturer needs to step up the Quality Control on the turned diameter!
