Perfect fit! I was having hard start problems from an apparently weak fuel pump. I replaced the tank and pump with this unit and it has proven very reliable. I installed it approximately 2 months ago; not any problems. This tank with pump, float, and sending unit installed was a BARGAIN as it cost less than the pump/float/send unit alone. Shipping, fit, and quality was just as described in the post description! Best buy I have made.

This tank and pump worked well. I just installed it today, not the easiest job, but doable.
Comes with straps, and for the price $260 you can’t go wrong. I made the job easier for my self. I cut an access hole into the bed above the tank. In the future, you can easily access the pump. And the wiring harness fit this truck, I didn’t have to use the supplied plug and re wire. it was the same. No wiring to do.
I’ll update at a later date to see how long the pump lasts.

1994 F150XL with 4.9L 300I motor. Short box. Fit great. Followed the guideline for wiring new plug. No leaks, no issues. Install wasn’t easy but that’s because I’m a novice. Been driving for about 2 weeks without issue. I’d buy it again.
UPDATE: I bought this in 2020 at 153k miles, and I’m still driving it in 2024 at 178k miles. No problems. It sends fuel, the gauge works true, and I just don’t have to worry about it. I installed this tank on my own, and was inexperienced so I struggled. Recently I helped a friend remove his bed and a tank on his truck. Now that I know what I’m doing it’s not as difficult. He went with a new Spectra tank on his as well and hasn’t had any issues.
I’m now having problems with the front tank, and plan to buy the same brand of fuel tank and pump to do the front. Originally I was worried about buying a crappy pump with so many saying only motorcraft would work. Not only am I no longer worried about it, I actually have recommended these to some friends because mine worked out so well. Installing the front tank soon.

I bought this to replace a leaking gas tank on my 1995 F150, regular cab, short bed, 5L engine, 4×4 even though Amazon says it won’t fit that model/year. The Spectra website says this is the one to use for my truck so I bought it. After 3 years all is good, the truck runs great, no issues with the fuel pump, no leaks.

Fuel tank works fine, Spectra fuel pump lasted maybe two months. Replaced the fuel pump with a Delphi. We’ll see how the Delphi does – it’s made in China. I don’t know where the Spectra was made. Of course they look identical. 5 Star for the tank, 1 Star for the pump.

I bought this gas tank and fuel pump assembly for my ford pick up. This product was as advertised. It fit my truck exactly. Overall I was pleased with it. I would suggest you make sure tank is grounded good, The gas gage didn’t work at first. It wasn’t grounded good. So I made extra work for myself. The box it came in was falling apart when it was delivered. Other than those 2 minor things everything worked great. I think its worth it to get fuel pump assembly included. That way you have everything new.

Great quality, perfect fit. Resolved all my issues. My late model 96 F150 elect harness fit, did not need to splice. Get some rubber (old innertube) and primer to coat the new straps provided. Professional quality from reputable North American company. Replacement not for the weak at heart, do a little research, maybe an extra hand, think it through. Can be done in your driveway or home garage. Go ahead and remove fuel filler tube before, install after.
Amazon best price by a long shot, and delivered to the door.

Fit just like the OEM replaced my aging leaking tank. Truck started right up with no issues I did have to replace the plug on mine as it had not been updated but that was quite easy and I am trucking again

Fit right in, so far the pump is providing adequate pressure for the fi… tank required heavy degreasing (if nothing else but for handling) probably a good thing. I do not like to splice wires at anytime, but had to in order to connect plug to harness, it was a fairly easy job as the wire to wire was clearly laid out in the instructions and i own a heat gun (necessary) to fully shrink the connector tubes (i still taped them up). Next… my little package containing clips, wire splicers was ripped open and had to shake the box to get all the parts (?) out, but the box was in perfect condition so this must have happened at the factory! Nice new straps (get some rubber strips for these, i used the type used to seal a topper onto a truck rail) and NO new Bolts… ok not a biggy, but required an extra trip to the hardware store.
