Bought two of these cradles. They are sturdy and have a nice black finish. However, the tabs which are supposed to secure the battery are not bent far enough, i.e. they are not truly 90* to the base plate. No big deal for me – I just corrected it by bending them a bit further. Also, the five bolts used to secure the bracket to whatever you are bolting it to will rub against the battery! Depending on your application, that may not be desirable! I used Round Head bolts and a rubber plate with a thickness a little more than the height of the bolt heads. That way, the battery does not come in contact with them. The Velco-strap seems to be sturdy and adequate to hold the battery in place. A second after-market strap for extra safety can be installed cross-wise. All in all, a good project cradle.

My Generac generator has a battery buried inside the housing and under the fuel tank requiring extensive disassembly. When I noted that other generators had battery attached outside to support tubing, thought I could use this there, but since it is made to sit on a flat surface, I had to provide one on the generator frame. Note this is listed as a “small battery” frame, but is really too large for my generator battery, so I used the extra space for support. Note the wood to center the battery and the angle iron underneath to connect it to the round frame

I used this to mount a battery on my skeet thrower and it works perfectly!

I used this for a generator battery holder – Generac placed their battery in a most inaccessible place, so I relocated it onto the frame using this. It worked perfectly and now I can place my battery on a trickle charger. This item is well-made, sturdy, and a great fit for my needs. I recommend it.
