If you have an older car, this is a great battery saver. Great value for the buck. Built strong, looks good.

Shipped fast, works great.

Product works as designed. I have a small battery compartment, but this fits well. Make sure to install with the contacts facing UP, to ensure the killswitch doesn’t open on a bump

Our Chevy truck has an electrical problem that drains the battery if it sits for more than two days. This is keeping it from draining until we can get it to a repair shop to fix the problem. It was easy for me to install: “Here, hubby, put this on the battery.”. 🙂 It took him a bit of time to get it on but it is on and works great. Haven’t had a dead battery yet. Very easy to disconnect/connect with the flip of the “blade”. This item was hard to find locally because of the side terminals. We had been disconnecting the negative until this arrived. Something like this can also act as a theft deterrent, if it doesn’t start, they’re not going to hang around to figure out why.

I tried a switch with a knob, but it was too wide for the space in a C5 Corvette. This blade switch is simple, well built and much narrower. It still took a little effort to install, but has solved my battery going dead problem when the car sits for weeks. If you are a C5 owner, once you cut the battery power, you will need to re-sync your FOBs no matter which switch you use. Very simple to do. Stand 6 feet behind your C5, press and hold lock and unlock at the same time. Hold both buttons until your C5 horn beeps. Repeat for the second Fob.

This is solid and does its job, but the install was difficult because the hole in the copper housing that is meant to allow a 3/8-inch bolt to pass through, was too small due to having an imperfect shape. I had to get a drill bit, put inside the hole, and roll it around for several minutes to gradually enlarge the hole until it fit the bolt. (Deducting one star for this.)
After that was finally done, it was OK.
Happy with the final result, but two warnings:
Warning #1: it only comes with one bolt and there’s a good chance that you will need a different one. I ordered an inexpensive pack of assorted 3/8 battery bolts on Amazon — or they have the “kit” version of this product that comes with more bolts.
Warning #2: If like me you have very narrow clearance next to your side battery posts (mine are only 1 inch from the wall of the air intake filter), then you may have to remove the battery, put this switch on, and then lower the battery back into place.
This switch is pretty compact, so it will fit in a narrow gap, but the challenge is that the bolts wind up underneath the ledge of the switch — making it hard to get a wrench onto them from above to tighten them (the switch itself it in your way) — unless you heft the battery up first, then set it back down in the battery cradle *after* the switch is fully connected.

Used on my six volt batteries of my motor home. I was very glad of the extra hardware, bolts and stuff included in the kit.
My review copied for the post type, not screw in.
I have bought several of these. Make sure you understand what side, positive or negative terminal you want these on and your clearance to operate the switch, some work sideways and some are up and down. I have two on my 1991 motor home, one for the starter battery and one for the two six volt system. I no longer have to worry about a ghost discharge. I have one on my sons 79 Camaro and one on his father in-laws show car. These were installed about six months ago, no problem. They look like they would be easy to clean if corrosion creeps in, time will tell. I see that some people have had problems with them breaking as they are installed around the battery post. To avoid this, IF your switch fits loose on the battery post, get a “Battery Terminal Post Adaptors Positive or Negative Sleeves” from you local auto store to fill in the gap
