If you own a older Fleetwood RV with a battery controlled center, you will need a few of these to replace the old plastic ones. You should replace all at once as it could be a fire hazard if the plastic were to break on the battery controlled center box battery wire outputs. IYKYK

The stud for the battery was too long. Instead of adding washers, I fired up my steel cutter on my table saw and cut about a half inch off. Once I made sure the threads were good, it installed on my battery perfectly well. I ran 50 amps through it for about 40 seconds and it seemed to hold up with minimal heat. So it should work well in any average automobile.
It gives plenty of room for adding extra cabling in addition to the stock cable. I added two 8 gauge wires for a high power stereo, and I stil have plenty of room. The lock washers also worked well for me.
I realize that an aftermarket lug is not going to be a perfect fit everywhere. But I had to remove the stock rubber wire protector, and the stock plastic cap does not fit over the nut. So that’s the one thing I would like to see these lugs come with – a plastic cap that goes over the nut.

The conductive parts are machined from brass, thick and heavy. I have no doubt they can handle the related 250A. The insulating parts are of a hard plastic, hard enough to withstand torquing the retaining nut tightly without stripping, but not so brittle that it chips. The retaining nut is zinc plated steel with teeth that bite into your bulkhead, similar to the retaining nuts found in electrical boxes. Very well-made terminals, recommended.
