I wanted these pads to hopefully save from rusting tools that I do not use frequently, so over the years they spend more time in storage than on the bench. To properly evaluate the effectiveness of these pads, I would have to wait a few years and see the difference, but by that time chances are these are either no longer available or they changed enough for the review not to be relevant. What I can tell about these, right now, is that they are a pretty inexpensive insurance against rust, and they have no obnoxious smell. I can only trust their vapors will protect steel surfaces from rusting, per the product description.
