The ABS light was on and I was getting service stabilitrak message on my 2008 Silverado. It had been on for a while and I was indecisive on the cause. After watching quite a few you tubers, I cleaned the ground wires, checked the fuse and disconnected the battery to reset the computer, all to no avail. So decided to begin replacing the wheel speed sensors. I bought these for the rear and some others for the front. I took off the left rear first because it was easy to get to. It should have been an easy replacement but the bolt hole of the new sensor didn’t line up with the actual bolt hole when the sensor was inserted. It was off by quite a bit so I had to ream out the brass insert and make the hole semi slotted and oblong in order for the bolt to start properly. Apparently the spec on these isn’t exactly the same as the original part. Apart from that though everything else worked as it should. After doing that one I started up the truck and the lights went off and the messages went away. Got lucky I guess. Now I have a spare for the rear and 2 for the front if they ever decide to stop working.

Does not work. Actually makes things worse. When the code is reset the abs system will randomly engage. Fault code reappears after a short time. At least when it does the abs will no longer engage at random. Bought another one from different supplier and no more issues.
