I own a 2003 Toyota Camry LE, and when the check engine light came on with the code P0171, I initially thought the issue wasn’t related to the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. A couple of years ago, I had purchased a cheap, likely counterfeit DENSO MAF sensor from eBay, but after a detailed diagnosis at the dealership, it was confirmed that the sensor was faulty. Since DENSO is the OEM for Toyota parts, I realized that the eBay sensor wasn’t genuine, which explained the issue. I was hesitant to buy another non-OEM one, fearing it might also be a fake, but I decided to give this sensor a try after reading some positive reviews. Installed it in Nov 2024. The installation was simple since I had done it before, and I could immediately tell the difference. The car no longer struggled during acceleration, ~3 months and ~1000 miles later, the check engine light remains off. It even passed the emissions test last week! This sensor works flawlessly and is a much more affordable option compared to the expensive OEM parts. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable replacement for a faulty MAF sensor!”

There is a great improvement in performance in driving. my range increased 20% for the same amount of fuel i use to fill. However i did changed all spark plug and cleaned the throttle and catalytic convertor.
My old one doe work after i cleaned , but replacing with new made a big difference.

Purchased, then Amazon’s description said not for a 2005 Scion XB, they’re wrong, it fits perfectly. Installed in five mins, no more low rpm chugging and hesitation which I intially thought was clogged fuel injectors. Also, the three idiot lights on the dashboard disappeared and have not come back on. If you’re a first gen Xb owner you know what these are.

My 2003 Camry would start and then hesitate, and eventually engine shuts down. I thought it was the throttle body but because this sensor was inexpensive, I made the purchase. A couple of screws to install, easy peasy. Right away, it fixed the problem. It also fixed shaking issue during idle (this was probably related to the hesitation and shutdown). Drove about 500 miles after install, with the AC on almost every ride because it’s burning hot summer, and everything’s still good. I’m glad I didn’t spend exponentially more on an OEM.

Put in my 2008 Toyota Corolla LE to try and fix a check engine light I had for an oxygen fuel mixture issue. After installation and clearing of check engine code the light has not returned and I have noticed my even drives a little bit smoother when accelerating or starting the car.

who are those people who review this item so good. I try it and it is useless. It work for a month again I had to bring the car to the mechanic again to find out why I have the check engine light. first diagnostic cost 150.00 dollars for replacing this junk 75 dollars for going tot he shop again to find out the same problem same code another 150 dollars. total before fixing the issue already spend 375.00 dollars plus tax for that price I could have just got it on the dealer not counting my time. don’t waste your time and money.

I tried to clean out my old mass air flow sensor and it worked for about a week. For this price you might as well go ahead and change it out. Fit perfectly. Durable looking item and well built. Easy 15 minute install. Runs much better. Waiting to see if my gas mileage returns to normal. Running smooth once again!
