We ordered the wrong batteries, but kept them any way. Works for other items.

This battery is different than the one that comes with the original key. It’s a different model and it’s thinner so it doesn’t fit right and doesn’t work.

This is not the correct battery for a 2020 Tacoma key fob. The correct battery size is “CR 2032”. While this battery is the same diameter it is half the thickness so it will not engage the contacts inside the key fob.

The correct battery for a Tacoma key fob is a CR2032, NOT a CR2016. I put this battery in my keyfob and it didn’t work. I then bought a CR2032 and it worked. Do not buy this battery and look up your Tacoma and year to see what battery it needs.
